Why are people bad? why do they listen to youtubers and assume what youtubers say is law? why can’t players fathom the idea of doing mechanics efficiently? why do players struggle with all content not spoonfed to them?

You’d have to be more specific? All players are going to do whatever takes the lowest risk for the highest gain, which might not always be efficient.
People still cheese riven, they were cheesing the warpriest plate until it was patched, there’s the god mode glitch in the lf campaign mission.
When the game can be made easy through what YouTubers describe as the most easy way, I’m not sure why you would be surprised that people would do it that way.

my question is why is this in "help", it's literally just a rant post. It's a game and there'll always be players who are at different skill ceilings
D2 is a very unique game in the sense that there is no theory crafting / centralised channels for information
neither does the game give any significant help to new lights
so youtube is the closest thing a lot of people have to "information" and that's where a lot of BS comes from. But not all is bad
