Similar mod already applied

I keep seeing builds with multiple armor charge mods in the class item, but am given the similar mod already applied message when I try the same. is there something I have to do for this?

You mean the empowered finish stuff? A patch a week or two ago made it so you can't stack mods like that on class items anymore, but anyone who already had those mods on a class item can still equip and use that class item fine
