#Returning D1 player in need of guidance
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
i recommend looking up a guide
I have but there’s so much stuff to go through. Nothing is concrete about to what to actually do
My advice would be to go get lightfall, run it through, and get strand. Aztecross has a really cool build that gives u almost 100% uptime on grapples and 30-45 second supers.
The mod system is a lot at first, so usually using some pre made builds can help u learn how the stuff functions, then you are able to cook something up of ur own
Or you know play warlock and use starfire protocol, never worry about mods, dps, difficult content, dying, or anything really
So start with the light fall campaign?
If ur looking to get into builds. If u r looking for an experience, witch queen is probably the best if not second best campaign ever released
no
thats wrong
Every dlc is worth it, not a single one doesnt have something that you will need at one point
To start do all the campaigns and quests
that should get you going in the right direction
Do them in order if you can get all of them but if you cant this is what I recommend you play and buy first
- Witch queen 2. Lightfall 3. Beyond light 4. Shadowkeep
30th anniversary and forsaken both have tons of meta exotics for builds
So just play the campaigns and do the quests for each expansion
that should give you a good idea of what to do
not every1 has like 200 dollars to spare on the game tho
thats why I added an order.
I’m not a really experience player but played d1 barely back in 2015 but a few months ago I got into d2 rn I have about 200+ hours in d2
So I recommend you just do any campaign if you have any
Start from there, that’s what I did when I got d2 and after that i did some raids, dungeons, nightfalls etc and got good gear
You can also go to #find-a-sherpa and find players to help you out for dungeons, raids, nightfalls, etc
Hope these help
Homie he literally asked where to start. Objectively, WQ is the better piece of content, but lightfall is prolly the most relevant rn.
Lightfall deluxe is the most relevant, but lightfall itself doesnt have anything to write home about
bad story, no exotic weapons
and vow is a much better raid with wayy better weapons
vow is a pain to learn tho unless it's a teaching raid in lfg u will be insta kicked if u don't kwtd
yeah but i find with vow if u don't have clears people kick u a lot more than other raids
yeah its probably cause your bad at the game and dont have a good loadout
people dont look at raid reports for general play
i do have somme good loadouts tho. i donn't mean they look at raid report tho some do but if u just say i've never done this encounter or something u have a 50% chance of being kicked
Bruh ur trippin. I got 40+ vow clears, multiple masters. No one wants to do Vow with someone who doesn’t have clears. That raid is arguably one of the hardest raids. Not that it’s not easy for a seasoned player, but certainly a challenge for a new one
my 4th vow was flawless. If you have a good memory and have a bit of a brain its easy
i wouldn't say it's the hardest it just requires all players to do there role which can be a struggle in LFG and well master is hell doing that 3rd encounter wasn't fun on master
what you do is you kick people if they dont know what theyre doing and arent asking for help
and if thats you, take initiative and learn the raid or ask for help or get better at the game
i don't kick people from raids i rarly make LFG posts. hard to say u can do something when u haven't done it before
if your not the owner of the lfg, state you will leave if x is not kicked or does not learn
that's kinda toxic tho
not everything can be sunshine and rainbows
if you want to get things done in an efficient matter you have to be brutal
it doesn't always make stuff go faster tho like it just puts them in a bad mood and every1 else also in a bad mood which can lead to people leaving and people just not being as effective at the mechanics
It’s actually sad if you do this. It takes maybe an extra half hour to teach all of vow, even then one person can add clear and read a few symbols.
Trials is not the pinnacle of pvp
the meta is so horrid these days
But yeah @coarse mirage if you want to do a D2 raid I’d suggest DSC, although you need Beyond Light for it.
Speaking of, what dlcs do you have
I’d be happy to invite you to a server I have, a friend of mine wants to learn DSC after playing PvP for the past couple years without ever touching raids or dungeons
Beyond light, the one where Cade died, light fall, and queen
Perfect
All you’re missing is 30th anni for ghorn (which is a support exotic nowadays) and shadowkeep which aside from the exotics is mid AF
shadowkeep is trash and no1 runs the raid unless it's for div
Anyways mrchief do you want the server invite? The DSC run will probably be sometime this week, although I could do it really anytime with some lfg randos
that's why I specifically said if they aren't willing to learn. Read the full thing
dont fckn say it. If ur gonna leave if the dude isnt kick then leave. Dont sit there and make some stupid ultimatum to people you never met before that puts pressure on the leader and the new guy.
like if the person isnt asking for help, maybe just offer help, or just say u wanted to do a quick run, and leave the fireteam.
If I put kwtd in my post I expect people to know what theyre doing. If I put teaching i am willing to teach every in and out of the raid
i will kick and insult people if i put kwtd and they dont know what theyre doing
very few people know all parts of the raid it's not reasonable to expect that the 5 people that join u can do all the role in the raid well
if i put kwtd i expect you to know all the parts of the raid
its not hard to do all the parts of a raid
it is hard to learn all parts of a raid
KWTD has different implications. Many people who put it expect you to know skips & shortcuts, not just the raid mechanics itself
no it isnt
after 10 full clears it is not hard to know the whole raid
most people ik can only do 1 raid a week so 10 weeks to learn 1 full raid lol
if you only have time for 1 raid per week you shouldn't be joining a kwtd post
that has to be the worst take i've ever heard
??? your brain doesn't stop working if you can only do one raid a week lmao
if you can only do one raid per week, you probably dont have the greatest amount of skill
yeah your brain doesnt stop working if you can only do a raid per week, but the people who can only do 1 raid per week arent the greatest
anyways lets stop talking in this guys thread
i used to play with a team that could only do 1 raid a week they got a day 1 clear on root of nightmares
i want to keep talking but this was literally just a post on what he should do first
ok
