I saw a lot of people saying this was the easiest raid d2 has, is this true? And if so, what type of gear should I have to be prepared for attempting this?

#find-a-sherpa , sherpas are usually really friendly and you'll be fine
just have an ad clear heavy for first and second encounter (you can use gjallahorn tbh) or a MG like retrofit / commemoration
people use rockets for boss dps mainly on third and last encounter, so again you can be the "gjally" person 🙂
having a LFR like taipan or cataclysmic (farmable rn via caretaker encounter in vow) always helps too for certain bosses in raids

yep machine gun. commemoration is obtainable via dsc raid (again, ask for sherpa?)
retrofit might be sold by xur or banshee, so just check their stock frequently
corrective measure is also a decent option for new lights because VOG is one of the easier raids as well!

For boss dps on Nezarec I recommend two or three solar surges (for gjally) with elemental time dilation and heavy ammo finder (head) + heavy ammo scout (head). and void resist + concussive dampener (chest)

Yeah nice! Just enjoy the game and work on your loadout as you go. You can also always read up beforehand about mechanics in Ron, I understand your desire for drip
I do recommend - if asking for a sherpa - to put yourself on duties for mechanics, that way you actually learn them. Realistically you can be on ad clear the entire time
