Trying to get Vault of glass armor without actually doing the raid. Do I have to do the Vault of glass raid for the secret chest to be able to drop armor?

Secret chests can only drop items currently in your collections
VoG is an absolute joke of a raid though, you shouldn’t have any trouble doing it if you have half-decent weapons and armor

I think the only raid that can drop gear from the chests without doing it is last wish, all the others require encounter completions.
