You’re already on the lfg discord, I’d say just lfg for those activities or do the last wish commendation farm if you want to do it quickly

You need to complete the encounter, failing it doesn't work anymore

look for things like boss cp of raids you know. Deep stone boss is very quick

Boss cps seem to have an internal cool down. If you can’t run full raids, I think spire full runs is the best thing.

I was averaging 20 minute runs on lfg when doing that portion of guardian ranks.

Farming checkpoints, you'll have an approximate 30 minute cooldown between commendations. At that point, might as well farm a raid in its entirety for spoils, etc
