Can someone explain to me how the pinnacles work you get from raids that show the pinnacle reward? Like when you get pinnacles first run and later runs

how I understood it you just got a pinnacle for every encounter chest at your first run and that's it but I also heard people say that you dont get pinnacles from the earlier chests and only final boss chest,
and that you always get a pinnacle from that chest, even if it is not your first clear that week

RoN is the newest raid and will drop pinnacle gear on your first completion per character each week, admirer which clears for the week will only drop spoils.
The rotator raid will only award a pinnacle once per week per character from the final boss only. I think other drops on the raid are at power drops, but it can be farmed.
Right now that is dsc, next week vog, then vow, etc. continues its rotation.
RoN is encounter based pinnacles, the other raid is boss completion based.
