I don't have any DLC or PS Plus, but I have a feeling I might need to get it to do raids and strikes and what not.

I also dont know what exotics to go for, where to get them, basically any endgame guide whatsoever would be helpful

You really need to figure out if you really like it, cos Destiny 2 is a great game but to make it great you HAVE to get DLC's, cos you basically only play like 10% from the game if you only have the base

get all of them on sale they are really cheap, if you have to choose go for lightfall it has the most recent content and u get the season pass on top which means more content through out the season
