What is the best way to farm vanguard engrams? I am trying to get a good hot head :)

Playing the game.
FR though what I would just do is do NF at whatever level you are comfortable with.
Long as you keep playing Vanguard, you'll earn a streak, and rank up faster.

That's up to you really.
NF is better because it technically gives more XP/clear but can be longer since this week is a PsiOps.

It's really whatever you are comfortable with. I just do NF myself because of chance at exorics/slightly more weapon XP as well.
