weapon builds ,synergy , etc new player what am I looking for?

I am new to d2 Ik u can equip 1 exotic but what am I looking for in a weapon? Exotic wise and legendary wise. Are there any synergies?

legendary weapons have random perks, you want to look at the perks you get to asses their value

you can google the “godroll” of that weapon which shows essentialy the best possible version of that weapon

light.gg also let’s you enter your perks and rates them

exotics naturally have predefined perks so they’re easy to use you can’t change them

regarding synergy, essentialy just don’t use two primary’s and you’re good

witherhoard + any smg is a great combo for ad clearing

ad clearing is just instant vaporization of the red bars that spawn and the orange bars too if its capable enough , weapons with aoe such as chain reactions etc are good at clearing mobs of enemies
