Is it possible to obtain the hero’s burden smg as a new player?

I’m not sure what legacy items you can and can’t get so thought i’d ask because it’s one of the 2 smgs that can have repulsor brace trait to my knowledge

when iron banner rolls around yes it comes around in 2 weeks it shouldnt be legacy
