Do I need to craft my patterns before Lightfall?

Or, if I have unlocked the pattern, can I craft it at any point after the expansion...
Also, can I still upgrade weapons/change perks on my crafted weapons that are no longer craftable after lightfall releases?

yes youll still be able to craft/upgrade all the weapons you unlocked
