Why do people who use Star-Eater Scales sometimes not rally to the banner, or are asked not to do that?

I don't understand the benefit when you still make orbs with your mods and reach 4x faster for the overshield and all if you rally and start out with your super.

Me neither until farming Caital this week, been asked more than once 'can you not rally pls' when using scales and seen other scale hunters skip rallying too. Can't tell if I'm missing some info or just... weirdness.

The only thing i can think is if you cant pickup orbs with full super. But that was changed a long time ago
