It's the same price to buy everything individually. (In Euros) Lightfall is 50, Deluxe is 100
Deluxe gets you 3 extra seasons (10 each) + Dungeon key (20), so 50 in total

Eventually itll go on sale or be included in the Legacy collection pack I imagine at which point it might be cheaper, but idk how long that takes

if we use witch queen as a base reference
game released feb 22, 2022, the first sale was march 31st for 20% off (season 16, season of the risen)

for both deluxe and regular

the next sale was may 23rd for 33% discount (season 17, season of the haunted)

the next sale after june 23rd (season 17 still)

for 40% off

#

after that every other month was 40% off sale

#

then for the first time in november 22, 50% off.

so lightfall could follow this module

whenever the original goes on sale, the deluxe version goes on sale at the same time

value-wise the deluxe offers significantly less than the actual expansion, so if money comes into mind i wouldnt buy the deluxe, its also an enthusiast tier type of purchase.

If you truly enjoy what bungie has to offer and want to support them then yea. But if you are a bargain hunter theres no way the deluxe can be worth its value

What Im saying is how I understand it is if you buy the base game at normal price youre not gonna be able to save any money on any of the seasons / dungeon key

Its for people who already know theyre gonna play all the seasons and dungeons or just dont wanna hassle with all the buying options and get everything in 1 package. And you get some cosmetics

But yeah you can just buy every season and the dungeons as they come out and youll pay the same price

its only cheaper if you wait for Lightfall or Lightfall Deluxe to go on sale, which means you cant play lightfall at release

If you get normal Lightfall at release, you have to get deluxe upgrade which is never on sale. Or you buy everything with silver but I havent heard of silver being on sale

Just buying everything separately is same price as deluxe, without all the deluxe bonus stuff

yea so the upgrade from regular to deluxe has never ever been on sale. You pay the full 50 dollars to upgrade.

But this opens up the flexibility to purchase which seasons you plan to play if you don't think you will play every season. And whether or not you want to purchase the dungeon keys

It's also worth noting that destiny releases the season with silver bundles. 15 dollars gets you 1700 silver and a legendary emote. Basically 2 dollar discount lol.

I'm pretty sure you can upgrade your pass when lightfall releases. Also don't dungeons come with season passes?

Dungeons used to come with the season they were released in but starting with Witchqueen you now get the 2 yearly dungeons by buying a "Dungeon Key" for 20€ (i think also $20)

They probably wanted to split dungeons from seasons because they dont get removed. or theyre just greedy who knows

I dont know, generally you can refund preorders steam, I think even as long as its before release. But i cant say anything for destiny with cetainty
