How do they compare in DPS and Total Damage?

Adaptive’s do about 20% higher dps with similar total damage.

Precision’s do about the same as rapid fire’s for dps, and have 50% higher total damage.

I was just going off the dps spreadsheet online. Apparently there used to be heavy precision GL's in vanilla D2, but all have been sunset (and never got random rolls)
