I've reshaped over 7 different weaons and 3 of the same ones... i've ran out of resources
the quest will not complete.

Basically this. When you reshape a weapon, in the first selectable option you have to select the enhanced trait.

When you initially craft the weapon you can select only one. But as you level it up you will unlock others. These are also called masterwork upgrades.

I did this today morning. I reshaped my ikelos 103 with range mw and enhanced feeding frenzy. The quest completed

The first option is the bullet. I am referring to the column before that. It'll be to the far left of the first perk column

So you know handling, stability, range, etc? Those are traits

even tried crafting a new weapon and upgrading that ehen enhancing it and it still doesn't work

If you do it like this and it doesn't work it must just be bugged
Also just to be safe you can do it with a Throne World weapon incase it for some reason doesnt recognize newer weapons, but looks like you already did that
