where do i look in the menu?

When you boot up the version of a Nightfall you wanna play (difficulty) hover over the little icons. One of them says which Champs appear.

#

They are on the bottom left. Usually one of the first from the left.

if theres none, do champions just not spawn?

there are champions even on the easiest level I believe. almost always overload at least.

If there's no champion modifier, there's no champions (Adept)

adept NF has no champs, and NF higher then that has champs.

fair enough. ye i saw just 30 mins ago indeed no mention of champs on the first. but recalled there was. not often i do those anymore so 😄
