I know that linears like cataclysmic, taipan and reeds are really good but Ive also heard that weapons like merciless and grand ouverture are becoming really strong. Will they replace linears in dps ?

Think of it like a pasasite that can store 2 charges
And that charges off hit instead of damage

Merciless is meta for damage and it pairs well with cataclysmic since you can double dip on solar font of might.
Also bungie said that they’re shaking up the power weapon meta in lightfall, so lfr’s are probably not going to be top tier anymore.
