A lot of good options. IMO anything with Incandescent /Voltshot certainly top tier rn. So e.g. Claus Mini Tool or Brigand's Law / Ikelos 1.0.3

SMGs with normal damage perks like Frenzy, Swash, AJ, Rampage is good too, just probably less of a main add clear tool
Lightweight SMGs are probably the most popular I'd say

Yeah I'd do either Calus Mini w/ Incandescent or the IKELOS SMG w/ Voltshot. Those things tear through trash mobs.

Really any weapon with those two perks will put in the work you probably want.
