Do I still need the full dreambane set to complete the questline? It never let me unlock the lectern so is there a way to get armor besides pit?

No, how did it jot let you unlock the lecturn? You do still need the full set for the armour otherwise it won't let you do the final mission.

I did the quest and it gave me the omnigul mission and there's no lectern next to eris

You need to get the cyper from one of the missions. That goes into the lecturn to activate it.

So you should have had to do a mission called Back From the Dark.

In that mission you get the cypher that you need.

Normally what happens is you get Esscenes quests, that you complete and you give them to the lecturn and you get a bit of gear.

Yea, it gave me the essence quest for the bond, but right after that it fast tracked me into doing omnigul

If I bring a friend with full dreambane can they just go in and pull me?

The mission won't start unless you have the gear.

Did you complete that escense quest?

I mean, you miss out on one type of exotic, might be worth looking up what you're missing out o just in case.

I think they changed the quest structure for shadowkeep recently since I'm seeing some kinda mismatching information

#

And mostly I just want to be able to do pit on my warlock and maybe the nightmare hunt emblem. But i'm not near 1610 so probably not an immediate concern
