you can use other weapons, though witherhoard works best due to it's constant damage ticks

you definitely want ashes to assets to get your super back faster

besides that starfire protocol offers you a lot of forgiveness in terms of what mods you run

you can really run anything + ashes to assets and it's strong

one mod you could run is the breach and clear in the new artifact, weakens bosses and champions who have been hit by a grenade launcher. Not necessary but wouldnt hurt to have some more damage

what makes the grenade regenerate quick, when u need constant ticks/dps for the grenade to come back faster

the witherhoard damage ticks will make your nade charge quickly as long as you're standing in a well ult or an empowering rift

you just have to hit a boss with witherhoard or a group of enemies

Starfire is what gives you back grenade energy. 20% a damage tick, with a 0.4s Cooldown as long as you're empowered. (Empower rift, or Well of Radiance)

It doesn't matter which weapon, witherhoard is the go to as it's a damage over time. Pairing it with weakened clear makes it nice and easy. DoT, Debuff, Nade regeneration.

Anything that does weapon dmg overtime without requiring you to shoot it constantly

Lemon is iffy yes but you can also use thron and osteo

#

Witherhoard and anarchy are the best

You can also run a DSC weapon. Gives ability energy back on dealing damage

It's not worth

But with starfire you just want a lot of hits

if you're only trying to get the grenade energy as fast as possible, consider anarchy with an smg

#

but that's not really that great compared to witherhoard/cataclysmic/fusion grenades

#

i don't play warlock that often, but that's what i'd run for raid dps

#

for gms i'd assume you just run the champion mods and stuff and you get it back fast enough to spam grenades and empowering rifts
