i read online that it's because you've fulfilled the requirements for a challenge that isn't unlocked yet

mind you, take it with a grain of salt since its d2 community and not bungie themselves saying it

i have this same issue, had it in a past season too. when a later week of challenges came out, it was there ready to claim
