#What build do people usually run for Nightfalls?

Depends what the nightfall is at time and if has barrier, overloads or unstoppables in them, and then what shields, modifiers etc are
when there's barrier, arbalest is a good go-to almost always (although it is pretty overused)
Master also tends to have more shielded enemies compared to GM so that does play in to weapon choices. Yes i know arby can deal with it but if you got like 20+ of a certain shield type you have that energy
Fallen saber i think master has shanks with solar shields, GM doesn't.
In terms of armor exotics heart of inmost light titan is super strong because of the arc burn, for harder ones if inexperienced void hunter with omniocolus works well
and a solar warlock with phoenix/starfire protocol is almost always useful
When there is overload id use a bow with the burn damage so mostly arc and when there is barrier arbalest is an excellent choice
For heavy either go with rocket launcher or linear
Gms are gone in like two days btw. Right now arc titan is really powerful, well lock and invis hunte
Aeon hunter under appreciated
Omni is excessive for any gm but lightblade
Thats why I said if you’re inexperienced and not familiar with enemy spawns and damage in GM which he is
But Aeons on Hunter is great for support that’s true
Idk what class you play, for me stasis hunter with renewal grasp build felt great. The cc + overshield + damage reduction is incredibly helpful.
I'm surprised no one is talking about it but I feel like stasis went under the radar with arc 3.0. There is some really amazing builds for it though!
I actually love my warlock stasis
Stasis got gutted pretty hard and only semi-recently got PvE buffs
Having high Resilience is valuable for any Master NF or Grandmaster build. But aside from that, I find it best to focus on a specific role or purpose when putting together a build.
For Hunters, I find Stasis or Void to be the most useful at this time. Stasis combined with Fr0st-EE5 can allow permanent uptime on Duskfield grenades, for a CC-focused build.
Void is a bit more situational, IMHO. Omnioculus has high viability in the Lightblade NF, but outside of that I would go with a focus on Snare Bomb uptime or survivability (i.e. Graviton Forfeit).
Titans have an obvious Arc build with Storm grenades and Heart of Inmost Light. If you chain abilities properly, you have near-100% uptime, and it actually gives a reason to use Heal Thyself.
As for Warlocks, I know of some excellent support builds. The Stag gives 25% incoming damage reduction to everyone standing in it, and Arc Soul is getting a buff on Tuesday.
If you're running Solar, Starfire Protocol is a very good choice. Stasis has an obvious choice in Osmiomancy Gloves and the Bleak Watcher aspect. Void works well with Contraverse Hold.
Why would you ever use Frostees over Renewals for Duskfields? DR is invaluable in GMs, moreso if it's DR on demand and how easy it is to refresh nades with Wells
Omnis allows potential for infinite smoke bombs bundled into one exotic and allows you to build around nades for Wells in the eventuality that you miss both invis nades
do you even run that much in a gm? it has a delay activation and gm hiding makes frostees kinda meh
Yes, actually. It requires defense stacking with Resilience and mods, but you can offset incoming damage enough to make a GM moderately challenging instead of "hide-or-die".
I find that Fr0st-EE5 build is best for locking down spawn areas or corridors, while staying at a distance with an Arc weapon with Voltshot. Maybe Witherhoard as well, or a special weapon of choice.
Also, you can just sprint into a wall or in place to trigger its exotic perk. Use with Touch of Winter Aspect and Whisper of Shards for maximum grenade uptime.
huh
i don't think i really run much unless it's in between fights, and that time is enough for dusk up.
Mainly it lets me have a pseudo-Bleak Watcher build on Hunter, for variety.
which you need to be cautious with because stasis resets champs
It's situational, but it does have some use. You can also plant the Duskfield exactly where you want the freezing to happen instead of relying on lucky AI with Bleak Watchers.
Also, with Touch of Winter, the free Stasis crystal lets you insta-freeze a target if you want to interrupt it.
otoh bleak is so op that with 2-4 active you'll freeze every ad
Stasis builds also have the additional benefit of Whisper of Rending now applying to all Primary weapons starting Tuesday, so it's a free debuff on top of weaken in low-Power environments.
i'd use stasis more if it wasn't for champs
Stasis is fantastic for Barrier champions, as Duskfield grenades can keep freezing them right before they can pop their shield. It's hilarious.
Overloads are more tricky, but if someone focus-fires them with an Overload weapon (i.e. Le Monarque), you can chain-stun them off of freezing and keep them locked down.
