I have a mod that gives grenade energy from doing melee damage but when i use trappers ambush i get no energy half the time. I think i notice it going up sometimes but i may be seeing things.

Half the time it doesnt work. Ive searched this up on google but i just see people posting screenshots of patch

notes saying that trappers ambush now works with melee mods but i dont see it working as it should. Is there something im missing?
