heritage for kinetic, first in last out for energy (slug shotguns)
any other shotgun, as long as it has 1-2 punch, you're good (you have to build into melee here for it to be viable though)

most of the best special weapons are in the kinetic slot. likewise most of the best adclear/primary weapons are in the energy slot
- heritage is just miles above any other slug in the game at the moment imo and to top it of its going to be craftable next season
