How do powerful and pinnacles work?

So I can't exactly remember, but my gear power level on my main which is a Warlock is about 1573.

If I do a powerful or pinnacle challenge on my other character, my Titan, will I get around 1570 gear from the powerful/pinnacle reward?

Only weapon gear levels are shared across characters. Use DIM and hover on the power level to see the actual power level

so if i do a pinnacle challenge on my alt character, will it give me the gear let's say, +2 of my main?

If its a weapon, yes. Armor, no. Power level calculation is the average of all 8 gears for each individual character.

So it wouldnt for either weapons or armor as it would be plus 2 from the average

You want to do your powerfuls on your alt to level up you armor on the alt so everything gets even

You can also grab the season pass armor on your titan to get a big boost depending on how big of a difference your main is from your titan

Yes if you are doing all the pinacles you can on your warlock. Its a leapfrog

You have 1573 weapons for your titan. You use powerfulls to get 1570 armor and your average wouls be like 1571/2 then you do all your pinacles and get to 1575 with your titan. Now both your characters have 1575 weapons
