Well the question is which one is better for void hunter. Not which hunter sub class is better or worse.
if u r using it for some reason then yes orpheus
if doing single bit teather then orpheus but the other 1 is up to you. orpheus does give you 3 shot but star eater can give higher dmg if you get max stack
I was wondering with what exotic you get the super more frequent to use it more often in GMs for example
single big tether gives up to 50% energy back with oprheus on top of a ton of orbs for allies to use supers to give you orbs

tether isnt high dps super, and you dont do lots of tethers
if it's like gm use aeon or omni
Orpheus is a swap exotic for Void
If you're doing a GM, just don't use Orpheus and pick something else that supplements your nade
Well it depends. If you want to dish out large amounts of damage, go for möbius quiver and star eater. If you want to debuff lots of enemies and get your super back, go for Orpheus
@graceful cosmos star eater for super damage by the super that shoots twice, orpheus is for super spam that only shoots once

orpheus deadfall is better if youre gonna use void subclass. specially if youre gonna run endgame activities gm/master raid
most of the time your team will die to horde of mobs and not the boss, you can basically lockdown a huge room/area with deadfall alone preventing those deaths
youll be surprised how much super you can use with that 50% refund + 100 intellect (yes its still worth to invest on intellect because resilience is useless on void hunter due to a potential perma invi)
not to mention the amount of orbs you can create for your team is a LOT if you know how to place your deadfall right
now if you want to use star eater, its not worth it on void hunter, if you want a dps super using star eater, just go blade barrage.
or triple shot goldie if ever the upcoming blade barrage nerf affects it too much
deadfall will also get a bit of duration buff next season i think..
and mobius duration nerf

Not sure why people think void hunter is bad just because the super doesn’t deal most raw damage out of all hunter supers
its not so much that tether is bad but more that other supers are better
- void hunter's basic kit (so excluding super) is already so strong that the super feels a bit weaker in comparison. most people lean into invis spam with omni when going void hunter, not super spam
i dont really get the point of omni since it only gives you dmg reduce while invisible ? Also when farming GMs the ult spam which is basically half an AOE divinity provides way more than the survivability i feel like
omni lets u have 100% uptime on super
deadfall is just bad because it's unneeded
and you're only using mobius quiver for dps then
star eaters is a 70% buff, o rigs is another shot (50% in a roundabout way)
star eaters lets you get it off 66% faster
star eaters is just better for damage

why would you want to be 100% invis, you lose it anyways when you attack stuff
but if ur using void hunter in nfs you want to run aeon swifts, literally the best exotic in the game for support
invis lets you skip so many things
why fight enemies and waste time when you can just run past them lol
altho i don't see the value in omni that much anymore after void 3.0 dropped tho
not so much omni, but more so that resilience is beyond busted now
tbh, if i was running void hunter in normal pve content, i'd be running gyrfalcons, in nightfalls like gms especially, aeon swifts
but how i read it you onyl get that resil while youre invis with basically does nothing
enemies will still shoot at where u are when u pop invis
really good for when you need to pop a panic invis
im mainly using my hunter in gm nightfalls, which aoen effect would you choose, the champ stun one or the finisher one that creates heavy ammo
finisher heavy
the other two are pretty bad
but the finisher heavy makes aeons S+ tier
i dont really play much hunter (especially this season) so i completely forgot about gyrfalcon, that sht is busted
also yeah aeons is another great choice, probably better for gms
Run double Aeons so the other Aeon can benefit from the heavy/special as well

in this sandbox you really dont need aeons, reason?
abilities are so spammable right now and you barely need to shoot
you only need aeons if you have a dedicated team that works with you, considering youre here on lfg pretty sure you rarely have your own team
aeons is also needed if you have members that doesnt know how to put a finder mod, and a scav mod
the reason why people complain about ammo drops is because they dont use finders/scavs trading it for ashes to assets or hands on
the thing here on lfg is, dont run aeons that much, mfers here want someone to run aeons for them and they dont give a sht about you..
bring what you have or what youre comfortable with on endgame and have fun with it.
just dont die to random sht and youll be fine
if you really want to use deadfall, heres my loadout tip for you.
witherhoard, 100 mob/rec as high as your int can go, and 40-50res
sniper resist +seasonal element resist. 1 kinetic siphon 1 nade launcher finder. 1 nade launcher scav
reaping well maker, 2x perpetuation. powerful friends, radiant light.
and most importantly striking light, as long as youre running youre gonna survive a sniper 1 shot on gm because of striking light giving you time to invi
yeah if ur adamant on using void hunter for pve u should be using aeons
rigs and scales both are based around damage and void hunter isnt good for damage
resil is so much more important than recovery
low resil means u can get 1 shot, high resil means u can invis and regen for free even w/ low recovery
+flinch
