I only have taipan so it is kind of hard to match the burn of other modifiers

Stormchaser comes from Haunted iirc, which is bundled with Deluxe
Otherwise, either cough up money or stick with Taipan

Your only option for a solar linear is sleeper simulant which is just.. bad
For arc, i guess sailspy could work but its not great either

what happened to sleeper?

nothing happened to sleeper, in fact it's still amazing for burst dps
it's just worse than taipan, reed's regret, stormchaser, and cataclysmic (3 of which are dlc)
and for burst dps gjallarhorn, parasite, lament(for close range, legend of acrius for same purpose) all surpass it
all of these require dlc except legend of acrius, but parasite is the only one that requires witch queen
there are probably more than that that are better than sleeper
but it is a good linear fusion
it just lacks so hard in reserve damage compared to other linears that even without burn or font proc i might prefer other linears
