I feel like most clans dont really talk much? Or am i just not using the chat function right? Is there a really fun clan that I can find to play at any time of day?

just so you know, problem with clans most of the time is they have a core of 5-10 close friends/ irl friends that doing co-ops and having a blast while the rest is just sidekickers that fill whenever needed

Youre best bet is to just hop into the #559101450932846603 channel and give different clans 2 week trial periods to get a feel of the general vibe.
As Dror said though, you'll be a bit of a sidekicker for a bit but can you really expect much more when you've talked to these people for like a week vs months or even years?
Once you find one you like, just gotta make sure to stay active and try and join in any events you can. Might take a bit, but more interaction means more chances to make friends rather than just raid fills.

if youre looking for clans that are lot more inclusive and "family" like, i suggest avoiding bigger clans.
better off looking for promising folk in smaller clan, and build your way into a healthier social experience that way.
look for clans with around 10 or so people clans who are explicitly looking for newer members for like minded activites
smaller clans tend to have a strong will to grow, and end up being pretty inclusive due to those reasons
also, try to line up timezones
