Horrible FPS Stutter every half second

try putting v-sync on in the settings @narrow locust

and also what graphics card do you have

Open task manager to see how much GPU D2 consumes when playing, that's usually the cause

Can be remedied by cleaning your PC using a game boost program like Razer Cortex

Or you could have an easier time and just close out any unnecessary apps like Chrome

If you're using Edge, upgrade to Opera GX. If you're using GX, use the performance limiting feature so you can keep DIM up

I have a Radeon RX 6600XT, v-sync did not help 😦

I fixed the problem by setting my display mode to windowed fullscreen and that stopped the stuttering

and setting it back to fullscreen makes the stutters come back

I have turned off fullscreen optimizations in the compatibility of the destiny.exe but it will still stutter in fullscreen mode

I usually keep running programs to a minimum, almost nothing running in the background except my gpu software, and the only apps I have open are discord and spotify, destiny doesnt usually get above

85% in activities likes strike or crucible or raids

I found the reddit post and edited my cvar file and it worked

I can now play fullscreen no stutters and I dont have to worry about the curser flying off the game
