Im looking to transition into GM Nightfalls. I find my damage is lacking, I dont have Arbalest (which is the exotic Im looking for atm) and I'm looking for suggestions for other weapons to combine with this seasons mods.

Cataclysmic and taipan are going to be good whenever those burn rotations come along for gms not in this season besides glassway
Forbearance is one of the strongest legendary ad clear options
You’re gonna want some rocket options like hezen vengeance, sleepless, red herring
All 3 of those are good and obtainable
Energy pulses include ogma pr6 or battler, insidious or horrors least, premonition or yesteryear (not sure if there are any other void pulses)
Hand cannons zaoulis bane, nation of beasts, bottom dollar
Scout rifles the aforementioned doom of chelchis, staccato, and tarnished mettle
Auto rifles gnawing hunger, sweet sorrow, Ammit ar2
Bows under your skin, strident whistle, point of the stag or arsenic bite
These are good energy primary options for each element

Smgs and sidearms are generally not recommended for endgame content for lack of range
