What I'm really asking: can a fireteam going into rumble or private match and have it count towards the quest progress?

from what i read the real grind is only one you use the bow to complete, looks like 50 guardian kills and everything else i think can be any enemy
step 1 is pretty much use any weapon you want, step 2 you need to use the bow to complete
