Like fr fr, a good setup is using linear fusion rifle with a debuff like weakening nades or divinity

Tiapan 4fr is the best linear for starting players

Cataclysmic requires setup but it's a strong option, and if you have the dungeon key, Stormchaser from duality dungeon is a must

Of course, many encounters and bosses won't use the same weapons, sometimes you use rocket launchers, in others swords

#

To all about flexibility, but having one of each sure does help alot

But as a "rule of thumb" Taipan is a must
