I cant seem to create any elemental wells with elemental ordnance on stasis. Trying to use elemental shards and picking up a shard doesnt give any grenade energy either. how do these two mods work on stasis?

Elemental shards allows your stasis crystals to be picked up as elemental wells.
elemental ordinance makes it so that whenever you get a direct grenade kill, you can get an elemental well.
So if you get a kill with your stasis grenade directly it will spawn an elemental well however if you get a kill with it due to shatter (which is not the grenade itself) you will not.
If you are doing a stasis grenade build, throw on explosive wellmaker and well of ordnance as well as a charged with light mod and firepower.

that makes sense now. the shatter was confusing me so much since it was killing things but not spawning wells

From what I have seen it does but you can run a grenade launcher with it just to be sure.
