Sleep basically keeps programs in memory and preserves your PC's current state. Hibernate is another option but I wouldn't recommend using that.

Yeah nothing wrong with that, you can change how long you can be idle for too before it automatically puts it to sleep. Maintenance turn-on is 2am by default and only if it's missed previous windows.

how does sound create heat

i can't think of any examples at the moment where it would

cause if i'm not mistaken, anything that creates energy creates heat, and sound waves are a form of energy (i looked it up to make sure)

but i don't see how heat can come out of a sound wave

or does the heat dissipate once an electromagnetic wave hits the atmosphere?
