Yes, #393881693871800320 was taken down due abuse of Image powers.
So we took that away.
And later on there was Donation implented to get a role that is Unpingable. (To that time Pings were casual)
Then it was changed to Donator Role.

In that meaning, you want a Merch store and Donator role.
You can do that in any meaning is my Opinion.
But don't make it like EA. Donator Role shouldn't be a PayWall in my opinion.
Here it's just Image and Link Perms for 2 channels.
But if you abuse it, you will lose that ability.
It's not a big issue. And if someone wants to post something so badly, he can ask a donator or giveaway winner to post it.

But you need to also consider, will a Donator role hurt you in any way? It's not a must it's just a if you want to.
Later on when it's in the server you can give it like some Extra since it supports you and the server.
But not directly from the start like super abilites.

But we're also different because we don't allow for the same problems to plague us in the way the majority of other communities of this variety suffer from
And that is usually a form of toxicity that grows from within that the community over time self justifies.. I shut that nonsense down before it even starts.. Which of course occasionally backfires from a radical sjw type person and I tell them to eat it
