@vale spade Sherpas are not required to help new people, they have passed a test showing they are willing (and patient enough) to help new people through the raids.

#

That said, I have encountered people who got the title for the reason you listed. Please let us know if you encounter those people and we will handle it as we deem fit.

@warm summit At the moment, no. Other mods can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think something is in the works that goes along with what you're suggesting. For now, DMing sherps is the best way IMO.

Sherpas are often amazing and willing to help, but they are also people not always available to help.
SoS is a hard raid to teach and taking 5 people through it is extremely hard. Most of us try to help two at a time, maybe 3.
Before you try sos, it’s a good idea to build up more raid experience overall since it’s not easy.
Other people can help out, not only sherpas. You can also do it with no one teaching, just find someone else and tackle it as a group - worst case scenario you’ll get some experience and if you’re chill it can be fun
I hope you get it done before reset ❤

The process for becoming a sherpa is also a bit lengthy imo, I meet the standards, have done actual sherpa runs in game, and such, but haven't had the desire to do the process for this discord.

They might DM when they have a chance. They often simply join raid rooms with new people that might need help. They post when they have the time. There are less than 70 sherpas in the server, that do other things apart from helping others, both in life and in game. The server has about 30k members. It's natural that there will be more people asking for sherpas than responses.

#

Even though sherpas are amazing, the community is even greater. Every player can and often will help one another despite of a role in this discord server. You can try to join the regular raid rooms when people post looking for group or start others, and new raiders with some experience, normal raiders and prestige raiders might help 😄

@crude sky I plan on sherpaing some raids when I get home from work. The only problem with this channel is that there is a much larger demand for sherpas than there is supply. If you keep at it I promise you’ll find a group.
