When I launch my interdictor with the Aegis pattern at range 5, it is not intercepting any torpedoes from the enemy ship, even in its 2nd and 3rd turn. Are there some additional requirements I’m missing?

I would expect one torp to be intercepted on the 2nd and one on the 3rd round.

Here’s a recording. The enemy ship fires torpedos twice on turn 2. My interdictor does not make any interceptions

Why would the interdictor intercept a torpedo that isn't going to hit?
Small craft are targeted separately and I don't think they intercept torpedo fired at themselves.
Edit: Yeah, you weren't hit, you're still at 1700/1700 hull.
I think that's working as intended. If your main ship were going to be hit, then your interdictor would intercept the torpedo.
