it should have a groove for a flat head screwdriver or a coin

#

I am not able to get it out. I wonder if that means I can never use a different boom arm because of it.

oof, that took some damage

#

you need a screwdriver or coin big enough to grab both grooves simultaneously

#

alternatively, it seems there is a bit of the adapter sticking out. perhaps you could grab that with something like a monkey wrench

Ok, i guess its ruined then as far as me ever using it with another boom arm. I was needing to get another low profile one for my current setup. Dammit.

#

I do not want to throw them away and start over. But I need a new style boom arm. Shit

#

This is the second time this has happened to me wit hthe 7B ansd this boom arm. I had to throw away the previous ones.

#

I am just not going to buy either anymore.

One other tool that I had to use was a long knife. Perhaps you could try using that on the groove?

I have tried using a flathead screwdriver and a coin. It will not turn or come out. I will just have to be stuck with this boom arm then.

Not ruined! You just need more torque than has currently been applied. Trust me, been there, done that.
Using a sturdy, longer handle knife, that still fits within the grove width, will add more torque capability. Similar to using a crowbar on car lug nuts. Often, when faced with this dilemma, I still use a quarter. Only I hold the quarter with pliers to serve as my crowbar.

well, you are a better man than I. I will not be able to do it.

Dumb manufacturers, now I am screwed.
