So, not speaking to quality in absolute terms, but personally, it’s already one of my favourite movies of all time. It felt like it was made in a lab for me.
It combined my three favourite movie genres of rom com, over the top action and meta comedy. Add in Taylor Swift, Ryan Gosling and a kick ass female lead? Perfection.
To be fair, I didn’t have any knowledge going in.
At the 30 minute mark I was fucking confused because it seemed like they were rekindling the romance too easily and I was confused how there could be 90 minutes left.
It’s definitely not my top rom com as a rom com, but it may be my top movie featuring a rom com.
Sleepless in Seattle, Pretty Woman, You’ve Got Mail, Notting Hill.
Crazy Stupid Love, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, She’s All That.
