Look how long his blade is
19 inches of Baylan
Hey look that blade looks just like in the show.
New favorite reactio image for this thread
Is this real?
Your looking at it jiga is it real?
Did he smile like that?
Probably a post error but that's a deflection, I think?
Stop I’m triggered
Let’s surround her and run TOWARDS her troupe
Also I think I’ve watched the Anakin sequence almost 11 times now
More of a skim than a deflection. Very upward movement on the saber
I mean TBH I am all for bandits on this planet having anti-lightsaber gear
I can see how if you wanted to be mad at something, you can be mad at that. It doesn't bother me.
Her getting stabbed in the stomach and recovering, and then deflecting all the shots with her armor just ain’t it for me
I mean, she wasn't wearing beskar armor when she got stabbed. Now she is and that can famously deflect shots.
Is it actually beskar?
She's a mandalorian from before the purge
Or is it plastoid or whatever
She has actual beskar.
That’s fine, but again, gives me no sense of risk or danger with anything she gets involved with. I’m really hoping Thrawn does something big here
Give me some bad guys winning
Yeah I hope so
Darth Wren in the house
Ezra flips out on Sabine -> Sabine runs to Baylan -> Baylan says not my problem -> Sabine shows up at Nightsister's doorstep and says "make me evil"
And then in the movie she'll be redeemed
8 episodes and a movie
/waitfor poptart
Or is it 10
A lot better happen in 2 episodes
Did they say this would be multiple seasons?
Oh
Then a shit ton needs to happen lol
Thrawn tells Ezra he is his godfather and then chops off his right foot
or the next season of mandalorian
Enjoying your favorite show in the evening and then remembering someone on Discord is going to ruin it for you in the next 48-hours
😦
So Ezra should already know the consequences of Sabine being there right?
Didn’t get “You stupid idiot, what have you done? You’ve doomed the universe” vibes from him
He seemed pretty chill about the whole thing
Great job making magic @shadow oak!
Mickey is promoting you to level 32 !
I’m sure he’s glad to see his friend after 10 years
But the real talk needs to happen
Does the force let you sense someone else’s emotions?
Like, he could probably tell she was torn up inside no?
The force does whatever you need it to do
like the speed force!
So do we think Thrawn and Enoch fucked
I will be head over heels if they explore this in a similar fashion to God of War: Ragnarok. The ramifications of removing someone’s agency — even in post — and how that damages a relationship.
My sweet golden person.
I’m sure Thrawn was getting some action with his zombies
All I’m saying is that face has a hole
Rewatch nitpick: ||Sabine could’ve crawled out of the window in her prison cell ||
She would’ve just fallen down though
This is also true
I still can’t get over how sick the night trooper designs are
Thrawn cooked this one time
I like the red bandages. Makes me think of Blashphemous.
The red bandages give off the vibe that they’re like being barely held together
It’s so cool
She looks so disinterested
That was part of the point. Like "Look, I don't want to be here. Let's just do this quick."
my fav part of the stormtroopers was when Beedont said "why are they so dirty?" to me
It's because those are actually the costumes from Galaxy's Edge back in 2019
Their uniforms kind of look like someone took at Pirates of the Caribbean Cast Member costume and said "make it brown and futuristic"
Its the same picture
seen it and read all the discourse. whelmed, don't care about Ezra and Sabine, just more thrawn please.
Dave Filoni says keeping Lars Mikkelsen as Thrawn for ‘AHSOKA’ was due to it being too big of a challenge to replace such an iconic voice.
“I couldn’t be happier. He looks wonderful in blue. Not everybody does, so that’s a factor.”

I can respect Filoni supporting the actors but he just looked a little off
Now why couldn't he have that stance when it came to the grand inquisitor?
he wasn’t as iconic
lol I almost forgot about his fakeout death in Kenobi too
that was very dumb lol
So a lot of recaps have pointed out there is the Zeffo language on on the spire place in last episode. Might be good to put this here so everyone can read up on the Zeffo from the Fallen Order. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Zeffonian
Basically an ancient force weilding society that fell to the dark side. They left to an unknown destination as they faced extinction. They may be suggesting they made their way to this other galaxy.
Heavily featured in the Jedi survivor* and fallen order games
Huh, neat
I can see a stretched idea that the Nightsisters are related to the Zeffo
Here is ScreenCrush's video on it. The Zeffo definitely had an interest in Dathomir so it's always possible they went to this homeworld for the nightsisters which led them to Dathomir. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0OlC0i48EY

if the zeffo play a bigger part then we know that Disney is at least working across media and trying for coherent stories
Lmao can’t wait for that to mean nothing
And just done by a prop designer who needed aurebesh
That 100% means nothing
fully expecting this show to retcon / timey whimey the sequels and the Rey reboot is a whole different story sans palp
Ain’t no way
Nah, Filoni will just keep stretching out this time period forever to never address the sequels
Rey reboot unrelated until Teen Grogu gets thrown in
I don’t think Disney cares enough about how WE received the sequels
All it did was make them a shit ton of money. Who cares if it was shite writing
100% this, the only thing it affects is if how they approach the post-sequel era.
Or, they just gave Filoni free reign
Oh look Filoni is girding the nerds loins, keep printing us money Filoni/Favreau
yeah but what if they can just reuse characters and merch they already made...
I think their only takeaway was mando Tv show hit - movies not
They are still lacking in an actual strategy IMO
I really wish they’re taking feedback from fans seriously. Becuase at this point I feel like it’s getting the Disney Live Action treatment
There are couple of hits, but they all make money. Except Andor
That and making it the SWCU, which IMO we don't need. These stories are so much better when they don't have to fit nicely into some other media.
I hope the direction they're going with Ahsoka is: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FvabuNIagAEaWqz.jpg
Keep 'em all in that galaxy far, far away and then I'll be happy to let David F. cook. Otherwise it's tough not to ask the obvious questions and generate lazy answers (ex. shouldn't Luke give a shit?)
with only what, 3 episodes left? Thats likely going to happen
NO MORE LUKE
By they I mean thrawn
I wouldn’t mind recasted Luke
NO
I would mind cgi Luke
in a galaxy far far away
Make stuff outside that time periods d
Luke can be involved without him saving the day
Again the decision for them to do the time jump bites them in the butt
Great job making magic @trim meadow!
Mickey is promoting you to level 66 !

That's the bummer. Jedi God is just hanging around. Reddit seems to believe they're going to save him for the movie and let him drop in to be the hero then.
The Filioni movie
For Filoni & Friends: Live At Largo!
but ive done very little research
Jiga are you paying attention’s
There's just so much weirdness that is serving the micro plot, but not the macro narrative
I hope Baylan unleashes Snoke who vaporizes Thrawn and all of them and he’s the only one who makes it back
Justice 4 Snoke
I mean that’s the thing tho, like so either Luke is supposed to just do his Jedi temple or be actually involved in macro things happening
Like i get from a fan perspective it’s not very satisfying to see oh it’s Luke again
i.e. Nightsisters sensing Ahsoka inside of a whale traveling at hyperspeed but not Ezra in Turtle Town down the street. Although truth be told, maybe we'll learn Thrawn legit doesn't give a shit about Ezra. But even that would be weird, given that he put him in this situation in the first place.
I'm in the boat of not wanting to see him again
It's just tough not to ask the question of "is Luke coming to the party?"
Because he's down the street.
I think Thrawn is smart enough to not give into passion
How do you think thrawn got so plump? Eating Ezra’s turtle buddies
but thats the thrawn in my head canon
I agree yeah, I don’t care if we see Luke or not but just sayin
I'd be okay with this if they explain/show it. I just don't like when they leave things hanging for the fandom to answer.
There's time, so we'll see. I'm hoping it's covered.
Lol snoke is gonna be the forever unknown mystery
It’s definitely gonna be some legends shit
i think the big twist is that they aren't even enemies now
10 years and now maybe they're just buds
If they can waste money all these stupid shows to answer dumb sequel questions like how did the first order happen THEY CAN ANSWER SNOKE
Tumblr theory of Enoch = Ezra, and Sabine hugged a super force projection
It’s not about whether they can, it’s about doing the most infuriating thing for the fanbase
I reject that Snoke is just a palp clone, so fucking lame
Did he say Kill Ezra or did he say Kill the widest shoulders a man can have
Stop I hate this
So stupid
That one scene in season 3 mando was hilarious
SO BAD
As is explaining what is and isn't a force power at this point 😂 — I would't be shocked if Ezra met Splinter and learned to do it
Or its "Magick" that he picked up while floating around that landscape
He got electrocuted in the finale of rebels
Lmao I am getting my hair done and she keeps covering my face with foil which is a sign to not participate in this convo lol
Shhh
She's just training you like Ahsoka did Sabine
Learn to respond without looking or reading
rukh survived and is now Enoch
Feel the conversation happening around you
Zombie Rukh
Lmaaooo that’s how I wrote I’d instead of if
Honestly not a huge fan of Zombie Troopers, if it happens. Zombies are so 2010.
TBH they're probably going to be revealed as Yokai and the internet will once again lose its shit because David F. used something from Japan
We saw zeb tho
It is kind of crazy that they made a live action Zeb model and then just… didn’t use it for the Rebels sequel
Unless he shows up at the end but at this point I doubt he does
I closed my eyes so it doesn’t count ‼️
Zeb was also on the whale, he was there the whole time
Zeb is the whale?
I keep wondering if Hera is gone for the rest of the show or ...how's that gonna work
Similar to how Rey seemingly got everyone to Exegol, couldn't Ahsoka theoretically zap the coordinates back to Hera?
Though I guess they don't have anything large enough to make that super jump
If she could do that then the nightsisters probably could've done that too. Nvm.
I think Disney wants to avoid anything “similar to Exegol” as much as possible lmao
Totally fair
All roads lead to Exegol
I mean the night sisters could have just pin dropped their location tbh to whats her name in her dreams but the map works
Nightsister Linda is now sharing their location
I still need an explanation on why they couldn't use Thrawn's ship to get and send exact coordinates via DreamTime ™️ 😅
or just follow the whales again, we can track through hyperspace right? TLJ says we can...seems easy
That tech hasn't been created yet
Sabine murdering the entire galaxy to see her friend:
My wife just pointed out that the Zeffo have the same head shape as those bandits that attacked Sabine...
Can't wait to see everyone else's reactions to ezra being alive
They never really gave up hope that he was alive so I imagine it’ll be a lot like Sabine - at least the ghost crew
I’m most excited for jacen & ezra cause he doesn’t even know jacen exists
I honestly hope that we don’t see Zeb in this
It’s almost like a lot can happen in 10 years
And maybe just maybe he’s over their shit
That's not disney family friendly
Tattooine
Ive been hearing mother talzin but I don't believe that
Babu Frik should be able to use nightsister magic
lmao this is so funny, what fan theories????
I honestly have no idea 😂 My timeline is full of stuff like that now though. Each tweet crazier than the next.
it knows you feed into it lol
Oh 100%
Oh my god it writes itself
Time for what? To start the 24 hr countdown?
oop

Omg Enoch is Ezra

Okay but imagine that’s real and how the internet will explode over a super force projection that can interact with things
(There’s no way though)
Saw a wild theory earlier that speculated that Baylan Skoll is actually Obi-Wan's long-lost brother that was briefly mentioned in the OWK show and while at first I thought it was a silly idea the more I think ab…

Is tonight final episode? I’m an episode behind tbh.
next week
theres 8 episodes total
Well, there’s that I guess. This is officially after Mando 3
Jesus Christ every fucking leak is true
||hayden saying Asaj Ventress sounds wrong||
At this rate I'm expecting some tragedy or a s2
Baylan and Huyang best characters in this series
It's a shame Baylan ain't gonna get enough development before the season is over
"The emperor died?"
"That's what they say." ☝️🤓
Yeah we still don’t know what his goal here is
It feels like there’s still a lot of loose threads for only one episode left
I wouldn't mind loose threads but like this still feels like act 1 of something but we don't know if that's of another season, other TV show, or movie
Agreed. As a penultimate episode that felt rather empty -- I was expecting it to ask a big question or leave us with something hanging for next week to resolve.
I'm a little miffed by the witches being able to pinpoint Ashoka exactly but not Ezra. The insinuation seems to be that Thrawn purposefully left Ezra on the map so that he could use him as bait for a potential rescue party, but that feels like a really big cop out / lazy writing.
There were some cool moments in here, but ultimately the plot felt just a little too convenient at times, which makes it really hard to feel like our characters are ever in any real danger.
3PO showing up is def cause VFX Leia to expensive and imo I agree, I'd take him over cgi leia
i.e. the bandits chasing and shooting, but then when they have a clean shot directly at Ezra and Sabine as sitting ducks (in the wagon circle), they stop. Worse, the troopers listening to Ezra's plea to be taken as a prisoner. Just feels really sloppy. 13-seconds of not killing him!
I think like those moments on paper, but not as presented.
So is Hera super tall? Or I am misremembering 3PO as being tall?
5'9", huh. Maybe the OG cast was also just very short.
Hera is 5'7" ?
This is tripping me out
The realistic answer here is that the follow up is Filoni’s movie that may or may not ever happen
Given that they didn't address Ezra finding out how/why everyone is there, I'm willing to bet the tragedy of the season finale is his rejection of/anger for Ahsoka + Sabine
Ezra's last line last week:
I can't wait to go home
Ezra's last line this week:
I think I might be going home after all
Ezra's last line next week:
It appears I won't be going home at all
Ezra: "The force is my ally."
Also Ezra 10 seconds later:

Twitter is on fire tonight 😂
Honestly the most annoying thing about the force karate to me was that it could’ve been so much cooler with better choreography
I was 10000% expecting a hadouken to happen and instead it just kept being pushes
I just kept on thinking about that sick Shang chi forest fight
That's a great comp. There was so much potential to do something similar and show some extra weight behind each of his strikes.
Yeah because honestly the way they played it made Ezra seem kinda stupid 💀
He was not doing that much
He could’ve used the blaster at least
Was he always kind of silly, too? That "hey let's talk this out!" scene is really sticking with me, because it felt so out of place in the fight and I really wish they would've just had Ahsoka crash in instead of pausing everything for 15-seconds
I didn’t hate that just because the actor playing Ezra was charming enough to sell it for me
“Coming empire” it’s Snoke baby
big mass effect council energy from this court
"Ah yes, Gideon. We have already dismissed the notion of any imperial remnant force"
There’s definitely not enough time to resolve the Baylan stuff in a satisfying manner and that makes me sad
I hate Ezra’a contacts
meh nothing happened that couldn't have been done in 5 minutes and develop actual plot. feels like nothing but build up to be let down
flashy and cool and all but...
pokes with stick
do something
This episode was about showing off ~~ master tactician thrawn ~~ and that’s it
Is Thrawn's superpower that he simply isn't an idiot? Being real here — I'm not quite getting this "dude is a master" vibe from him.
Baylans weird comment about Shin too - hope they follow up on that
if the new Republic is any guide, not being a complete idiot and applying any logic and reasoning is basically pure genius
Speaks to the high level writing.
I just have so many questions and I dont' think they're nitpicks — I think it's all lazy writing.
- Why didn't he put the cargo on his ship before Elsbeth arrived?
- Clearly he cares enough about Ezra to sacrifice two shuttles worth of (very regular) troopers, so why not use the witch triangle to find him before he has Jedi backup?
- Why are all of the pilots so bad in this show?
3b. Why didn't they aim at Ahsoka when she jumped out of the ship?
😦
Also he said he wasted Ahsoka's time but it seemed like she got in touch with her gang very quickly?
I mean #1 is they needed a reason to stay on the planet and not immediately leave lol
The troopers thing is weird after his comment about preserving troops, honestly.
Yea! He walked back on that so quickly.
My boyfriend said “they can’t hit one ship?” During the Ahsoka chase lol. I did say they likely have a shield
Shin: open fire
The 15 troopers at point blank range: 🧎♂️🧎♂️🧎🧎♀️🧎🧎♂️🧎🧎♀️🧎♀️🧎🧎♂️🧎♂️🧎♀️🧎🧎♂️
Shin: open fire (a second time)
The 15 troopers still at point blank range: 🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍🧍🧍♀️🧍🧍♀️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍🧍♀️🧍🧍♂️
yeah I mean pretty much all of the conflict this episode could have been resolved in 5 minutes and the actual plot moved along, now I'm just thinking they have no plot and are relying on the movie / series+ to fill in the gaps
This to me is the most offensive part of the episode 😂
They do nothing for 13-seconds.
Imo this is an ongoing problem with these shows and it sucks
Which is a shame, because I genuinely like Baylan and Shin and I feel like they had so much time to do something with them, and didn't.
Say what you want about marvel but at least something happens each movie
Even when they’re doing their interconnectivity bs
yep, I don't care about secret keeper sabine, Jesus and his twelve turtles
Baylan and Shin are cool, thrawn is compelling if he was given something to do
There’s no way those turtles created speeders in a different universe and didn’t get turned into soup within a week
Galaxy*
If you look back at what happenened this season, I feel like we could've been here at episode 4. And then we would've had some really good air time to let Baylan, Shin, and Thrawn cook. They took too long to get here IMO.
Because he originally wrote this to be a continuation of rebels and had to condense it imo
Rebels is 75 episodes for 4 seasons so if you average 18 episodes a season
so we landing back again that Disney has no consistent plan and can't figure out how to pace these shows?
Hopefully not. I really wonder what conversations happened during the writing of Mando S2 that set them down this path of making FIloni's gang the focal point.
I like how there is a really good andor->rogue one bubble that exists
helps that Andor is relatively uninhibited with characters, mostly just needs to end up with not massive plot holes and less character baggage
Genevieve O'Reily is the best "it's all connected" part of d+ star wars
Also this being post-Mando S3 raises a lot of questions
Yeah I thought the consensus was that it wasn’t
does it? the new republic completely ignoring somehting like Gideon is fully on brand for them
There's a version of Ahsoka that isn't bogged down with trying to connect the dots and I think that would've been really special. If it were just Baylan/Shin vs Ahsoka/Sabine/Ezra or something I think that is amazing.
Leia supporting Hera behind the scenes leads up to her splintering off from the NR to form the resistance
I feel like they’re making the new republic flawed and almost unlikeable so we don’t feel bad that they all die
yeah lmao the next big event in New Republic history is blowing up
It reopens the can of worms that is "why not just bring Luke" again which is going to keep popping up until they recast him and find a way out of this vortex.
then this is why the first order happened
just tell a story not in this timeline, do new star wars stuff
It’s really holding them down, it could’ve been really interesting to see a seriously good and well organized govt for once
i've been sayin for years
star wars is at its best when Skywalker is nowhere near it
Mando S1 was so good in that regard! It had it's hiccups, but for the most part it was like "oh shit, new story!"
high republic stuff could be interesting but i'm sure they'll fuck it up somehow
i actually wouldn't mind a star wars What If? show
I remember when they released the timeline with a cool unnamed mandalorian show, an obj wan series, and freaking boba fett series
After mando s1 it was even cooler
mando s1 did really well and the higher ups attributed it to filoni instead of favreau
and that's how we ended up where we are i think
TRUTH
Ooh that could be it
Honestly Bryce Dallas Howard needs to come back where did she go
I remember the exact moment I started to hate Filoni and it was during a Mando "behind the scenes" bit, where Favreau was looking at the set and saw the ST helmets on spikes. He asked Dave about the meaning and deliberation behind it and you could tell he was excited about some sort of world building.
And then Filoni was like "I thought it looked cool"
That was the end of our friendship 😂
And tbh I think you kind of see that in this show — and especially this last episode — where he, like, retcons himself? The witch triangle finder + sending troops when just last week Thrawn was like "sorry, can't do it" showcases a writer who doesn't consider the details IMO.
It's why you also get a 3PO cameo for seemingly no reason other than "and then this droid we know shows up and we hold for applause"
I dunno. I was so pumped for this show and feel letdown.
Well if it makes you feel any better it looks like a Star Wars drought is on the way. Maybe it’ll change things (hopefully andor s2 will stay in tact)
I think Lars Mikkelsen did a really good job this week specifically in us seeing a worried Thrawn, after seeing who Ahsoka's master was
i think this is still before the point in the timeline where the general public learns anakin was vader right
but thrawn was one of the few people who figured it out during the war
I’m lost with the night sisters tbh, all I know is that they rode the whales to conquer dathomir
every time i see the nightsister triangle i want them to start chanting "the power of three"
am i old if i'm making a Charmed reference
I got roasted last week for asking why they needed a map to get there and I still feel like the sisters are doing a really good job at demonstrating why it wasn't necessary
I thought their whole schtick was that they were from a place where the force didn’t exist so they had their own galaxy’s form of magic but ig not
A simple "just tag along with the whales" would've been far easier
Yeah it made me wonder if the whales are good or bend at the will of whoever they feel like
Like are they on Ezra and Ashoka’s side or are they tamed and controlled by the night sisters?
They could easily come back and wreck the hyperspace ring or thrawn again if they really wanted, or the night sisters could force them to take thrawn back
maybe they all just get fridged like Stargate universe
So that's what I don't really get either. If Ahsoka's #1 goal is to stop Thrawn, wouldn't the move be to destroy the ring and then go check and see if Ezra/Sabine are okay? Wasn't that the message she was giving Sabine just a few episodes back: do the right thing, not the thing you want
stuck in ng+ galaxy and this was all for nothing
Lol I used to love charmed
Lol it was a mistake reading any of this
Loosely rhyming poems are the solution to everything!
I was in middle school ok
same, also was not the target audience but charmed was good fun
Sorry obi it’s bash city over here 😔
I don't hate it. I'm just confused by the pacing
This seems to come up a lot for shows in both the MCU and SW
Like we say it after every penultimate episode.
There has to be s2 still..
There's no way thrawns defeated and we know what in the box for transport.
Why do I feel the box could crossover to Mando or fett 🤔
Mando verse movie?
Disney has somehow made shootouts in Star Wars boring
Also the wide shots of the toti vehicles look SOOOO bad in post
Ezra weak af. Take the saber you dumb ass
Thrawn best part of the show. Balan boring
Did you see rebels? He was a calculated strategist. But ultimately in the end, he’s basically known for Super sized stations bad, more capital ships and Tie Defenders good.
I didn’t watch rebels, so that’s where I’m bumping up against his character. A lot has been implied, but not really shown IMO.
Who's the one who stopped chopper in court?
Captain ranger
Also Ashokas roll from the ship looked fresh from the prequels
Yeah every cg sequence since Mando 2 have looked really poor
I blame Covid or something
That goes so hard tho
I feel like the whales earlier this season were okay but the ones from the last episode looked pretty rough.
Well, would be nice to spend more time on him if the pacing of this show wasn’t so incredibly bad
100% and that’s where last night I was kind of lamenting that we’re here after episode 7, but could’ve/should’ve been here by episode 4
Forgot about the part where Sabine drops a “that’s what they say” about the Emperor’s death 😭
I cringed
"Oh shit thats the guy i got drinks with on Batuu"
Why do I feel that kylos mask is about to appear here?
One of my pods brought up a funny point about how Ahsoka was all “I’m going to chew out Sabine once I see her!”, but kind of played it cool once they reunited because Sabine easily could’ve clapped back with “remember when you wanted to let Ezra die alone?”
(I still can’t believe she hasn’t told him/it hasn’t come up – really bad)
Right now that’s high praise for any imperial
Yeah he’s silly
Literally could’ve had 20 more minutes of dialogue that way fleshes out the characters
I think the Aladdin actor originally campaigned for it
Honestly I don’t think he has the same charm as Eman
Ep 8 better be something crazy like 90 minutes
they're gonna just end up leaving ahsoka, sabine, and ezra stuck out there at the end, with Thrawn heading back
No, but 1st episode of rebels they call him street rat
I do feel that shin is going to turn on baylan skoll next week.
Just a thought
I think probably everyone gets home
I don’t think there’s a very interesting story seeing them sit there trying to figure out a way back while thrawn wreaks havoc on the republic
Maybe Baylan just wants to channel his inner Luke and what he’s actually looking for is solitude. So everyone leaves the planet and he gets to farm in peace.
So far there is nothing interesting about Baylan and Shin
Baddies are bad and crave power
Also the difference of dueling for everyone vs Hayden is so obvious, makes me respect Hayden more
Like Hayden is just that good
The Anakin choreo felt very PT — which I love — whereas everything else feels like this weird blend of OT/ST, which in a vacuum is interesting but nowhere near as fun as the Anakin stuff.
Not knowing anything about them isn’t the same as being interesting I agree
Maybe we get a “twist” like the inquisitor in Obi wan
Otherwise all I know is Baylan former jedi and raised Shin in the forest
100% — and that's why I wish we at least got to Thrawn sooner. Giving him more time to cook pre-arrival could've helped the pacing, plot, and stakes. Holding back Ezra until episode 6 would in turn have become more impactful, as we would've been given time to sit around and wonder where he is/is he okay.
Revealing both in the same episode didn't give us enough room to experience that.
Yeah I’m really wondering why they are incapable of doing interesting things with dialogue and long shaping scenes
I think that’s what I’ve realized about the Star Wars stuff is that especially with filioni, it’s all plot/action
Andor had fantastic pacing as a comparison
That heist episode? Cracked outta its gourd
The heist episode is amazing
And it rolls right into your point: there were two episodes of setup to get us there
I think Filoni's ideas are okay, but he can't hold himself back from dropping them all at once. If he could stretch out some of those concepts into arcs, they would have more impact IMO.
oh god he's a wolf
filoni you did it again
Feels more like an Easter Egg than plot point
If only because he writes “Chewie”
no shot thats canon
Yeah they do that all the time with filler aurebesh lol
This small Easter egg will lead to some crazy story in 10 years
But what if Ben SOLO!?
how old is he, like 5?
Is he even born? A thought?
Ben, however is 29 years old at the time of The Force Awakens
Ashoka is 11 aby and tfa is 34 aby so hes 6
@CultureCrave @Nira_592 This almost solidifies he's the reboot of Joruus C'Baoth. C'Baoth wanted Luke for his "new Jedi order," and Luke wouldn't budge. Next, he wanted Leia and her twins. Thrawn agreed to help him. Baylans' attitude is almost indentical, and he's likely hoping for the same from Thrawn.
[fans] will literally [write that tweet] instead of [letting something be an Easter egg]
The clone of joruus asked?
"this almost solidifies the reboot of Glup Shitto"
no it leads to insane fans

Considering how this connects to multiple shows, definitely true
I think I have actual brain damage because there’s been like 3 separate times in the show where ahsoka leans towards Huyang and I think she’s gonna kiss him for some reason
Even if the finale is packed with narrative and revelations, I still think they did a diservice to the show's potential by punting its responsbility down the line and into another show/movie
Which is the exact problem the MCU has, and that saddens me.
I mean there’s clearly plans for ahsoka season 2 in my mind at least
Oh for sure, but that doesn't mean you can't have a coherent season of TV
Finding Ezra/thrawn and bringing them back to the republic seems okay to me
The way that it’s been happening has been bad, but I don’t think the entire angle is completely fraudulent
To be fair this is the same issue pre-packaged trilogies run into (Forbidden Beasts), where they arbitralilary withhold key plot points for films 2 and 3, which actively drags down the quality of the lead-in assets.
So forgettable you forgot the name lol
What plot points do you think are being withheld here?
☠️ — is it Forgotten Beasts? Now I have to google...
I still think fantastic beasts 2 is the funniest studio tent pole I’ve ever seen
the 20 minute flashback explanation scene
The fucking baby swap
In this case I think they've stretched 4-episodes of content into 8-episodes, from which we're getting a season 2 that might've been better served as the back half of season 1
I mean this is what I mean by the way it’s been happening. I think the entire goal of getting thrawn and Ezra back is a good season long goal
Just finding them would be bad, so im glad they didn’t go that route
I agree
Imo the baylan/shin story is the most interesting part by far
Because there’s some mystery around it
Could’ve added some stuff there to get the episodes feel like more happens
I think also Sabine and ahsoka could’ve been together for longer
Also the character interactions have been very weird
Like I want to see Ezra pissed at Sabine
I'm willing to go so far as to say I don't even think this is Filoni's fault. I think this is Kathleen and a content strategy team saying "hey maybe let's slow walk this and reduce churn by fleshing out the key story beats in another property"
Too macro for me lol
I’m not sure what other property they can put the ahsoka story in
Because I'm in alignment with you — there's a version of this where it's awesome and feels significant minute-to-minute, while also maintaing the "hunt for thrawn + ezra" as this season's lighthouse
Isn't all of this leading up to a crossover movie?
Like I just think filoni is outmatched here
After at least 1 more ahsoka season imo
And 1 more mando season
I don't think "prestige" or "peak" tv suits what he is trying to do.
@dreamy maple said it best I think, that in an 18-episode animated show this is all relatively fine and par for the course
Right
Dangling the carrot
You’re horny
Also: they have to recast Luke, Leia, and maybe even Han at this point. Rip that band-aid off and unleash a wave of storytelling potential by bringing our big three back into the mix more regularly
Ok but the show would be better if everyone was kissing each other
All I’m saying is
Ezra was alone with those turtles for a long ass time
That’s what I want a show about
I can think of one podcast that already made a joke about Ezra and Sabine during the turtle chase
Did I miss something btw regarding leia, when did Hera ever talk to her
Literally never — that was an unexplained and super convenient out
Honestly that entire scene should've been cut
The entire council should’ve been cut
But then I can’t point at the screen when c3po shows up
There’s no other concern that we see that the republic is facing
Yeah it was pointless
It makes zero sense not to authorize a small force to check out the stuff that’s happening
I like the idea of someone who just scooped a too big bite of cereal into their mouth seeing C3PO and muttering "Star Wars!"
Also that other republic ship saw the whales
The more I think about that scene the more wtf I am
Literally what the scene is. Idek get the point of it genuinely. At least the anakin hologram made sense
Like if they are gonna let Hera off the hook, why not just do it in the confines of the council
You didn’t need needlessly antagonistic senator
Grrr
When this came up earlier in the season, it was such a head smack moment because it's not like other stories haven't used this as a plot device before. But it's often handled with a little more grace and someone begrudgingly sending, like, the worst two cops to go help investigate. And then one of them stays corrupt, but the other turns towards the cause and is the catalyst for sounding the alarm.
Like it's all right there. We see this in every dime-a-dozen action movie.
IMO the worst part about it is that the blocking and editing is for, like, a "Filmed in front of a live studio audience!" show
When he shows up — just like Jacen before him — there is a "hold for applause" beat
“You cannot go see this weird thing that’s happening because of uh I don’t feel like it”
It also seems like there's an overwhelming amount of evidence at this point? Even before the show begins.
The pause was so noticeable
Of Morgan and the mercenaries yes
They caused an incident in corellia
Like if they were in active war or something I get it
But we see literally nothing else happening
They are so free as to have the council convene JUST for Hera
Yea, it's all weird. And Xiono is far too stupid and/or corrupt to make any of it feel sincere.
I'm shocked Hera didn't bring up the hyperspace ring schematics for him to respond with "maybe someone wanted the biggest engagement ring in the galaxy — how do we know what that's being used for!?"
Lol nobody has any modicum of logic
Xiono's mannerisms remind me of the student in this scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1seWmy53FZk
Also talking about ahsoka getting tracked by the witches, I don’t know why the same effect, flushing ahsoka out, couldn’t have also been achieved by just going after Ezra/Sabine but leaving time for her to realize they are in danger
So we don’t get the plot hole of witches not tracking Ezra
Like we don’t care about them
The Witch Radar ™️ gets worse the more you think about it
I would like to stop thinking about it lol
Because Ezra also seems to have been training his Force No Jutsu over the last ten years, so presumably at some point they would've had a tingling to investitage that feeling as well, no?
But TBH even that you can solve with dialouge — have Thrawn say he was keeping Ezra on the board as bait and we can say "ok"
Same goes for the "I had to wait until you arrived to start packing cargo on my ship"
Just toss in a little "they had to stay underground" or something to give a reason, otherwise it all just seems so silly
Yeah
Not super difficult to do lol
Or maybe their stuff doesn’t work on planet
Idk
Just give us something
“Too much interference from that weird force thing”
In the 13-seconds they had the very regular (and arguably dumber) stormtroopers not shoot at Ezra and Sabine, they could've dropped all of the above and solved this 😂
Idk that was pretty funny
I thought the council scene was gonna get her demoted so all of them can get back together again full time.
I didn't expect c3p0 to ever come in before movie 7
As much as I dislike Anthony Daniels, his appearance there didn’t bother me too much
I would’ve preferred Jar Jar
Senators and senatress, meesa your humble servant is here on behalf of General Organa
the whole scene felt pointless and I wonder if they have a plan for the payoff
Well resistance comes 5
Years later so I don't think we'll see anymore about the council
Why did they spell it that way
I still can’t get over how short he looked next to Hera
It was like a child droid
Ohh — thought I was missing something
Ahsoka gives Ezra a lesson in finding his inner strength and trusting in the Force when she disarms him and pressures him to adapt to her attacks on the fly.

hey, do you ever think abt the fact that ezra’s primary instinct during a fight is to get sabine out of danger? literally the first “move” we see from him in combat is to pull sabine to safety, & then he uses the force to protect her again later in the same sequence
Here's another one on my mind: Thrawn says Baylan is missing/going off script and not where he should be, however Ahsoka stops to fight Baylan in the middle of nowhere anyway, which all the sudden makes Thrawn's plan work and successfully delays Ahsoka.
Who, in turn, thinks she was successful because she took Baylan off the map, but he was off the map anyway.
I don't really understand the logistics of that.
Sounds like none of the sides knew what the others were doing and just acted based on what they assumed.
I think the delaying ahsoka wasn’t necessarily Thrawn’s plan with baylan, just that without baylan there they couldn’t defeat all the jedi
Ahsoka fighting baylan was pointless yeah
In like our understanding
Only if she goes after Baylan, who wasn't interested in the fight anyway.
That's what I don't get.
Oh, true. Yea, I guess so long as she isn't sabering his ring into pieces it's a win.
Yeah this was the crucial part for thrawn
This fell flat for me, but I feel like I'm missing something crucial from the cartoons and that's why.
Like he acted his ass off in that moment, which was cool.
Uh books
Lol
They meet in the new books
Ohhh
Welcome to Disney
Y'all trying to make me read now too!?
Her being a wild card = fighting someone who already retired 😂
What, you don't want to read "Thrawn and Vader vacation at Galaxy's Edge" for the missing crucial plot?
Is some stuff
Only if Vi is in it somehow
Is Vi dead?
or would you prefer "Ben Solo was conceived aboard the Halcyon"
Low key I just want a sequence where a whiney Ben is like "But Uncle Luke I'm tireddddddd"
the sad part is is that angelic wasn't kidding
Which Skywalker can whine more?
They put Vi in one book and expected people to care
Two 🤓
You're a fake stars wars fan not liking KOTOR so i don't listen to you anymore about thee star wars
Understandable
plus she barely in phasma
🤏
and technically she has more appearances than just the 2 lol
Oh damn I just found out about the actor for Baylan
This man lives under a rock.
FUCKING JIGA
He ate
I'm still expecting baylans end.. there's no way they recast him for a S2
which is a shame IMHO because he's the most interesting part of the show
unless they start giving thrawn and Ashoka something to do plotwise
I hope they do recast him and not just axe the best part of the show
Bring in Liev Schreiber or something
Even better: Nick Offerman
Give Ahsoka something in her own show?? Crazy talk.
Darth Swanson
it's a shame because I think Dawson does a good job with the role but the writing just isn't there
This is very much SABINE
And that is also a confusing character journey because her arc feels at direct odds with the “lesson” Ahsoka learned in her episode with Anakin
(ie child soldiers carry guilt/trauma, which Sabine doesn’t at all)
Finale pending, this has felt like a 7-episode long trailer for the movie
theres gonna be a second season, i refuse to believe they go straight from this to the movie
imagine the movie is just they kill all the heros with snoke and the first order rises
that would be amazing
I would be so down for that
I hope they have the guts to make our characters pay for their actions and/or require sacrifices
If everyone would stop crossing their god damn arms
I would think it’s more that this leads into the other shows, which then lead into the movie. So more of an indirect trailer, but — finale pending — if season 2 is anything like season 1, I think it would be apparent that they’re stalling for something larger (which is bad)
Unless they give me a Shin for Sabine trade, which would be interesting. The crumbs are there.
filoni definetly would not do this
yeah i getcha
I mean he has to put Sabine at odds with the group in a more meaningful way, otherwise he solidifies himself as a hack
Having Ezra be big mad – followed by an Ahsoka “and that’s why you always leave a note” lesson – is the perfect setup to make her turn to something
And we have the groundwork for Shin questioning how Baylan/Thrawn work + being given the way out by Ahsoka
So player swap + a kicker (Sabine rats out Ezra?) and we’re cooking
theres no way this is gonna happen, sorry lol
yeah unfortunately that's putting way too much effort and thought into it
it's more likely that Mando shows up out of nowhere and shoots Thrawn, problem solved
Grogu will stop an explosion with the force yet again
to give some more context, this would be the same as like obi wan flipping sides against yoda in episode 3
The kicker is harsh, but the table is set for both Ahsoka and Ezra to reject Sabine. There’s just no way allowing Thrawn back into the mix and undoing Ezra’s sacrifice can result in “hey, it happens but friendship > galaxy”
That bottom line is basically rebels up till the last episode
I completely understand where you are coming from, and I think that would be super interesting
It’s just filioni would never
I hope the movie is just named SNOKE
opening scene is another hallway on a mandalorian ship where snoke comes outta the smoke and destroys bo katan
Lmaaooo they would never
It would be funny as hell if the first order killed off all these characters though to keep the continuity
It would answer alllll the questions lol
Phasma takes out sabine and ezra
The worst part about Phasma is they went 0-2. How do you mess up both times ☠️
What if the finale of Ahsoka pulls a Book of Boba Fett and just becomes an episode of The Mandalorian 😆
It wouldn’t be the most shocking thing if the good guys get stranded and Ahsoka’s first thought is to reach out to Grogu
IMO episode 5’s main function was to re-establish WBW/ForceTime™️ and have that be the way out when Ahsoka initiates a group chat between Anakin, Grogu, and Luke
so far the movies/shows doesnt show the jedi having an ability to travel through the hyperspace lanes
like navigate
ending season 1 with thrawn coming back and them stranded would be a fuckin horrible ending lol
I mean I hope it’s not the above, because that would undo so much of the lore to date.
Eager to see how they play it/tease it and have my🤞that it’s not something Ezra and Thrawn could’ve done but chose not to, like go into a scary cave or repair some old ship.
Undo what lore
If the WBW is a solve for bringing back people from the dead, traveling, going back in time, etc it’s basically like introducing a cellphone to Seinfeld or Friends. It renders 90% of those plot points meaningless because you could’ve just texted or went into the WBW to figure it out in the PT/OT/ST
(Or were you being sarcastic? In which case: ☠️)
I wasn’t being sarcastic. I’m just not sure how stranding the protags on the planet while Bluelon escapes would undo lore
Nobody really knows how to get into the WBW right
It just “happens”
I meant that the good guys using the WBW to escape would be another “well why wasn’t every Jedi using that” moment
Oh okay
I'm still not convinced they don't retcon sequels and we get kylo and rey alternate retelling
Whaa?
ScreenCrush kind of went there too (https://youtu.be/QoFKP3NCT5c)

Ahsoka Episode 7 movies the series to its endgame, with Thrawn set to ret...
Connecting to the moment that Ezra has with Kanan in the WBW and being told not to try and change the past
But maybe Baylan thinks he can and effs everything up
This is a wild take
Absurd even
The ink from the sequels haven’t even dried yet
If anything this would only happen in the Rey movie
"wild" "absurd" as DC does this exact thing and Marvel/Disney flails wildly with live action remakes
I don’t acknowledge DCs existence
is it working for DC lol
star wars is different than marvel/disney
we don't know if it works for DC yet. also, how are they not that different?
in the end, it's a meaningless theory based on them introducing the multiverse and or time travel, who knows really.
I don’t even know how theyre treating the WBW honestly
Not sure where the timeline/time travel stuff is coming from
Ezra and the Ghost crew learn the Empire has plans for the Jedi Temple on Lothal.
Whether it’s possible who knows
But the tracks are there
so...not that absurd, plus if they redo it, then batu remains timeline/refreshed canon as they rework the characters
I give it a 5% chance of happening, but it's not 0
star wars literally aint this lol
again, redoing the ST without the OT actors is completely insane
why? it's the thing a lot of people want
find me 1 person that wants that
Isn’t there apparently a JJ cut of TROS
Hot take, they’ll remake OT before they redo sequels
idk lotta rumors about tros
i dont see what the point of remaking anything in star wars first of all, theres a wealth of stuff to pull from
new characters, new stories
Wrey Ray Skywalker
i mean at this point with mando they cant even reboot the ST into something other than first order etc
I honestly feel like they are making a somewhat big mistake in how they are trying to handle the next Saga. I feel like trying to do more Rey is a mistake, unless she’s playing the Han/Obi-Wan role and is only in first film.
I don't think it's a redo, it's the core finn ray kylo characters, following a different path
why would they spend 250 million on this?
see: Secret Invasion
marvel and star wars are completely different
I honestly think though skipping ahead past Rey having established an order already would be far more interesting though.
Because The Force Reawakens willl do $2B
lemme just check who owns both....oh right, they're not that different
not without harrison ford and etc
which is the point im making
Bring him back again
i think doing what luke did in EU but with rey would be kinda interesting
it's not like the universe unravels of they make a start wars movie without Harrison Ford
whos saying that lol
you?
Im saying if they redo the ST and recast Han luke and leia, that would be a tremendous waste of time and money
Idk I just think unless Rey is super old in this next movie, keeping it within the same roughly 90 years (assuming this movies set about 20 years after or so TROS) from TPM is a bit of a mistake.
why recast. just don't include the characters and let the new ones forge their own story unhindered
Yeah, so why not go 100 years after is my point I guess.
because luke leia and han wouldve existed?
Maybe they will, I’d be over joyed if Rey is 130 years old in the next film
because its either gonna be too much change or no change
if you start 130 rey in a jedi temple with a million jedi, thats too much
if you start 130 year old rey with 1-2-3 10 jedi and little else changes, thats too little
This channel needs to be launched into the sun
You are choosing the extremes though. Theres a balance between those two options.
Basically can be said about any Star Wars/Marvel convo on this server.
I mean im saying I dont think you can
what would your ideal start be with 130 year old rey
This is my absolute ideal way to start it, its not taking into account that Ridley is the “lead” of the films. Jedi Order is established and mid sized, a few hundred to a thousand Jedi. They’ve retaken there role as mostly peacekeepers, the government isnt centralized anymore as many systems disagree on the best way to do so without another empire rising, so Jedi have become a go between of a bunch of smaller coalitions that have risen up. Rey is on a mission to a new planet and winds up dead/missing and a Jedi and his Padawan are sent to find her.
I’ll admit its a tad too similar to TFA
But the poetry aspect of Star Wars appeals to me so I don’t dislike that completely
i mean if thats the case, it could easily be 20-30 years after
with the amount of upheavel in the previous 30-40 years, feels unrealistic for 100 years to go by without a major conflict
going into more local governments makes sense though i like that
Who said there wasn’t a major conflict? There could have been, it can be mentioned and discussed a bit without us needing to see it directly.
A New Hope mentions “the Clone Wars” and we have no idea what that is
Its mentioned and its flavor to the universe.
I want Jedi: Civil War
i mean the storytelling thing is that you are watching the most important part of someones life right
so youd have to have this thing be bigger
idk
I think theres plenty of room to say it's not a retcon but a multiverse take on the story. what if the Rey and kylo story didn't end in 3 neat movies, what if Rey never meets Luke, etc
what if Snoke is the big bad for a little while. it's not likely but it seems possible so far in Ashoka
WBW always seemed like a dodgy thing to introduce into star wars imho
I think it’s a non issue honestly
The characters only ever used it for personal development, not plot development
House of R floated the idea that the finale might break the show into two: Ahsoka (stranded!) and then Rebels (Hera!)
except that time it literally saves Ahsoka from dying at the hands of Vader tho right?
wait is the council guy from the last ep someone from the sequels
This was kind of the gradient to lead us into a more clean and deliberate narrative
He’s Kaz’s dad
who tf is kaz lmao
I mean vader survived the collapse of the temple, no reason ahsoka couldn’t have
Forgot that was even a show tbh
he was literally about to strike her down lol, WBW was pivotable in Ahsoka even being alive right now
I like when people speculate that Star Wars is going multiversal and then Filoni is like "nah. I have it all mapped out in this one universe."
I don't know why you even introduce WBW though, just feels messy for a universe that didn't need it, if you want it to be about the force realm, sure. but time travel? they even note that Ezra cant save Kanan because of how it would shift timelines or whatever.
It's not so much time travel as it is simply a place within the force that connects all.
..if you can go back in time and save someone from dying just before they die, is that not time travel?
Ahsoka was never meant to die there though
wasn't the whole point in rebels though was that he couldn't use it to save kanan
I took it as “shouldn’t”
he saved Ahsoka, reason seems to be he could but shouldn't
Kanan sacrificed himself and undoing that would have repercussions
Ahsoka framed it as "he sacrificed himself to save you all, what happens if he's not there to do that"

World detween worlds
walt disney worlds
it's been a key plot point but yes, let's ignore it lol
Lmao
she couldve been dreaming
force hallucinations dont make a certain location a key plot point
in rebels they had to physically go there, here she didnt sooo therefore it wasnt wbw 🙂
#1142178451416166601 message
But Jacen and Hera heard the lightsabers
force hallucations affect all people
i agree, i would like to talk about how they are gonna infiltrate the super star destroyer
Here's the plan. In the dead of night, they grab some provisions, hijack one of those longboats, and then row back to Spain like there's no manana!
Imma settle this
WBW in Ahsoka was just Filoni being Filoni
Hey y’all remember when I did THIS?!
We’re never going to hear or see WBW again. Bet
Tomorrow’s episode is named War of the World Between Worlds
heh, I'm more than 80% on the plot points I gave you earlier now based on this

Here we go
That was maybe the most embarrassing piece of television I’ve ever seen
That was terrible
Even up to the very ending I thought they might do something interesting (like reveal what’s in the crates) but no
S2 it is then..
also this is literally the same ending as obi wan lol
So who's next then in the list .. because now we got 3 shows running into the same timeline
Sabine never told Ezra what she did
That is borderline insane
Also:
T: it's impossible for them to catch up
- a few moments later *
T: we have to stop them because they are literally about to get on the ship
I was holding out hope that it would just be ahsoka and elsbeth left behind and they could become lovers it’s a fun parallel to the rebels ending
Also Ezra should just tell them to nuke dathomir
Problem solved
Their fight was pretty cool at least
I enjoyed it - it’s clear they’re aiming for a season 2 or something here.
Yeah, the fluidity of movement and strikes to the drums was very well done.
Meanwhile, Ezra's and Sabine's fight was poorly choreographed.
So bad 😦
The mortis gods references were great
Best part of the episode
I'm sorry, you showed Ezra just fighting with the Force, but all of a sudden, he has to resort to hand-to-hand combat without it?
I literally was like
Immediately thought of this
I also like the bombing run shot with the horses
That was interesting looking
Also like what was up with Marrok lol
So I was thinking about this -- after what they showed us last week, I was like "oh he's about to go Force Ninja on them" and .. he didn't
I was expecting him to be really far away but he was ghosting right in their face 😂
But they have to watch over us like approving parents!
It would be really funny if one day they end a Star Wars thing and it’s just a random force ghost watching over the characters
Like yaddle
Well now hera and chopper know ezras alive...there's just a few more left to note.
I do have a odd feeling on xiono though
I know his son is in resistance but something is still off about him
Honestly the show should’ve ended with them opening up the crates and it’s a bunch of red yodas
who are evil
Honestly Sabine with the force pull and super push was too much for me
I'm not as mad as I thought I'd be, but it felt like way too much too quickly
She pulls one saber and was like "bro just jump I figured this whole thing out off screen"
I wonder how bo katan will feel about this. If the 2 shows combine
That’s what I was saying!
Why not have it off the moment you steal the ship???
Like bro, are you trying to get shot?
Also how did you get away with that!?
Okay that wasn’t “last ep of secret invasion” bad but that wasn’t good
Also pretty bleak as far as Star Wars endings go
Also, you think Thrawn just somehow overlooks a ship leaving his port unauthorized?
Honestly not a great episode for him as a genius
$10 says “Shadows in Starlight” is the name of Filoni’s movie
I’m telling you though, Ezra knows how to do shit as far as faking being a stormtrooper
Yeah that’s fair
He would not have left unauthorized
He would have gotten the ship off as an authorized flight then gotten it off the radar
Boy ain’t that stupid
So the shot of Baylan Skoll at the end was definitely statues of the Father and Son right
Yes!
I’m of two minds about the force god stuff
Like it’s cool
But I feel like a new galaxy should’ve been a way to introduce a new/different force mythology
But now they either drop that plot entirely or recast him
Oh, that wasn’t Lord of the Rings?
It’s going to need a recast sadly
I thought it was a giant statue of himself at first
Big GOT and LOTR vibes with he and Shin
Which honestly would’ve been sick
You’ve got shin too
I thought he carved it himself.
Props to Filoni for knowing people would see Shin and go “I can fix her” and he preemptively went “no you can’t”
If I was shin I’d be mad as hell
100%
nothing to do but chill with a bunch of raiders
I think they need to take back some control from Filoni tbh
Like I’d wanna go on a force quest
Let someone else better at TV run these characters around d
I’d love to see Shin’s reaction to this whole thing and the ship leaving in front of her.
And essentially abandoned by her master.
Also now the owl shows up?
Ok who or what is hedwig
Is that a rebels thing
It was delivering mail.
why did I watch this, basically nothing happened
Yes
It’s the spirit of the Daughter that’s tied to Ahsoka
Aka the good part of the force
Clone Wars
Why could Sabine sense ghost anakin here though that makes zero sense
But also it’s kind of pointless to argue what makes sense when they just went full on zombies
Just here for the ride at this point
Ghost anakin making himself look like he’s 30 still is the real crazy part
Sabine proved that if you can’t use the force you just aren’t trying hard enough
Honestly I just want more Hayden
Filoni when given both the chair and the script can cook
We only recognize one Force Ghost Anakin in this house
The goat
Everyone: Ahsoka is coming.
Thrawn: let's just do that preflight check a couple dozen more times
Really didn’t like how that entire sequence was presented
“I don’t underestimate the Jedi.”
But you had all this extra time after blasting down their ship, bro.
Also sent objectively the two worst tie fighters of all time
And his own emphasis on meeting them on the ground. I thought he was going to dig traps and shit.
His whole philosophy of controlling the chaos and corralling the unexpected/unpredictable had them right where he wanted them. And they still got past him.
We needed some canon fodder on the Ahsoka side to have eaten it during the sky barrage
That stuff lands so flat when it’s basically just a laser maze for the heroes to navigate
I thought Huyang was going to sacrifice himself and the ship to somehow get them on the star destroyer.
the force jump was just...so unnecessary
I was expecting a force dash too
Go full TPM
I thought they were going to Force Rubberband, honestly. Force pull each other in the air towards the ship.
That’s what it sounded like initially
I was expecting them to jump at the same time and maybe a jet pack would come into it or something
well... see you in 1.5 years when something might get resolved I guess
Baylen needs a recast because I'm interested, I'm pretty sure I can guess what he's after and how people might get back to galaxy classic but it's gonna be a loooong wait
Try 3 probably
“You got Ezra home.”
Ahsoka, homegirl, I don’t think the countless number of people who are about die in an oncoming war will share that same sentiment.
If they go straight to the movie without another season of this
I assume we'll see something Thrawn in one of the other shows
Thrawn was underwhelming after all was said and done
also...how does Luke NOT get involved in dealing with Thrawn in the new galaxy. I don't know much about the canon between OT and ST but...
This episode in particular just really doesn’t make him seem like he’s leaps and bounds above other admirals
so ezra mentioned thrawn "woke up" the great mothers
the cargo they were loading is totally more nightsisters isn't it
Are we not going to talk about The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe?
yeah Perridea is just Narnia
and Mortis = Mordor apparently with that last shot of Baylan
zombie stormtroopers
