It seems there is a chance of a bug happening, where your state in your cult turns into that of a dungeon (you stay with your fervour meter, hearts and you can use the fervour to health ability or the escape ability). When using the escape ability while in the cult in this bugged state, the game softlocks you as it doesn't allow you to go any further from the screen in the picture I attached. I don't think I could remake the bug

I've had it happen to me as well, usually it happens to me when I come back to the cult at night from purgatory or a crusade and then sleep.
You can get out of that softlock screen by saving and exiting btw.

Yeah I did alt+f4 but i didnt save unfortunately

You can remake the bug if you come back to your cult after a crusade/purgatory run when the lamb is exhausted, then very quickly go to the cult leader's tent without interacting with anything else on the way
