ehh i don't know if i'd want an explicitly christmas related event in cotl. it'd force players from religious minorities to engage in christian stuff to 100% the game and that'd really suck considering the discrimination they already face from christians specifically, and from a worldbuilding standpoint it's pretty unimaginative. i mean, the blurb you wrote here directly puts the lamb in jesus' place with not much to differentiate this celebration from irl christmas

BUT i'd love to see more yearly limited events!! maybe one per season? that way you could have the blood moon festival be the autumn event

#

i think it'd be fun to have a winter event ritual that slows enemies down/makes them deal less damage (slightly) given how a lot of them are of species that either hibernate or straight up die in winter

#

so a winter event could be about the glory of war and rising above the old faith even in tough times. violencemas basically

I think it would be nice to have a winter theme that's sort of Christmas-like, like colorful lights and trees but without the Christian references
like the Christmas aesthetics made for the day in a non religious context idk lol
imagine the lamb with a Santa fleece

#

maybe something like
"lamb has a ritual in which distributes presents to the followers and that increases loyalty greatly"
and maybe like rng quests about followers asking the lamb to help them gather presents for other followers

Some thoughts occurred-

There are two things I feel are worth mentioning in regards to this. Firstly, the blood moon festival is directly linked to an in-universe supernatural event; the boundary between living and dead weakening. The Lamb then exploits/amplifies this via ritual.

Secondly, as far as I know, quite a few cultures have a midwinter holiday/celebration of some sort - because winter can be kind of depressing, especially if you are struggling to survive or similar. It’s good for morale!

So my prediction for a possible festive event would probably be a follower mentioning that it’s colder than usual and they’re worried about morale/feeling a bit down. The Lamb then gets to summon forth snow. Bonus points if the follower who asked complains about it being even colder afterwards.

|| Double bonus points if there are mince pies made of follower meat. ||

…

All of this just a sleep-deprivation-induced train of thought though
