#Possible Source of Disappearing Dead

My Cult has hit a limit where the List of the Dead is very long. I have a total of 300+ members on one save, with 50 of them alive and well at the moment.

As soon as one of my elders died, several of my graves disappeared and my crypt was culled. The most recent follower who died was placed at the TOP of the List of the Dead. Not the bottom.

I made the mistake of saving my game, and upon reloading my game, the graves that disappeared are treated as empty. My List of the Dead shows only 30 instead of the near 250+ that should be there.

Basically my legacy graveyard, including my collection of all the bosses bodies prior to the update, got screwed up.

And I think it's because the data was just too big...

Anyway, I did the horror movie thing and exhumed all the remaining bodies and built something else over it.

Here's hoping that when this issue does get patched that I didn't make it WORSE.

Nah, I had 50 people dead and the graves + bodies also disappeared. It's not linked to the number

This just happened to me! It's definitely not linked to the number
I wanted to resurrect some of my dead followers but I found tons of them gone 😭

Agreed. I think it happens because of a day/night switch, but that's just a theory because that's always buggy

All of mine are gone as well. All of my good ones save for the ones I currently have alive are gone from my dead list for resurrection. Just left with some measly little farts from the beginning of my game and the one individual I made a tax collector.

Have you seen if they keep disappearing ? And what about the ones that dies after that?

It looks like the recent dead show up but idk if they're added on or replaced any of the old ones left

Yeah, the recent dead are popping up at the TOP of the list and are kicking out the listing on the bottom. I've stopped playing until a patch comes out, because my Crypt now has the glitch where it says 4/12 on it but lists no bodies to remove from it. Chances are that one of the bodies I was waiting to compost got removed when another follower died.

This is happening to me on PS5 as well. I had around 80 that were dead and now my count wont go over 30. I noticed as soon as the update applied, almost all my graves were empty.I hope they change this soon, I was really sad losing my first ever follower. The games removes the bodies from my graves as well🥲 i dont think i wanna play till they fix this.

I'm having the same issue, I'm on Switch. All my dead are disappearing and I have no idea why.
