This suggestion is over a few doctrines that I came up with randomly. These doctrines in question more target the Cult's ability to be independent from the Lamb and thus if they are in dire need of their Shepherd and thus always have faith in them... or if the Lamb gives them the means and knowledge to be independent, even at the risk of a flock who may deem themselves no longer needing the Lamb any longer.

I am not sure about the tier 4 one, since there are so many options that are not good for one reason or another. But so far, feel free to tell me what you think.

Tier 1 doctrine - Does the Shepherd feed their flock a fish.... or teach them to fish?

  • To Feed A Fish - The flock becomes more reliant on the Lamb to eat, and gains +2 faith each time they eat a meal. Max faith is also increased by 15

  • To Teach To Fish - The flock is taught how to fend for themselves when eating, enabling them to eat for a lifetime. Followers will attempt to cook and eat for themselves if the Lamb is absent. -5 faith per day in a row (after 1st 2 days) of the cult having to cook to bring themselves above 50% hunger.

Tier 2 doctrine - Does the Shepherd Defend... or train to defend?

  • Shepherd's Defense - The flock is taught that the Lamb will protect them. Gain twice as many blue hearts with each sermon, and +10 faith each time you treat a follower of a aliment.

  • The Flock Fights - The flock is granted the ability to fight and defend themselves. Unlocks the ability to train followers to fight both to defend themselves and aid you on crusades. Followers on missions also have a 50% lower failure rate, due to the followers being able to defend themselves from danger.
