Why does it need to restart the application? I know that my internet connection is bad, rn. But instead of just lagging, it frequently just restarts the game and I need to start the run again....

and I've also played a bit longer than 18 minutes... This shouldn't reset the stats....
and somehow, I got to 118k, and then I was only get to 116k, at some point. Not sure what's going on there.

Prestiging is the "save game" function of this game, so if we get a glitch before being able to prestige, we usually lose all that progress.

besides named issues this also requires to lose time doing full app restart to 'fix' dmg loss glitch

Sorry for the late reply. This typically will happen if your local save file cannot properly sync with our servers, and it'll download a fresh copy of your save file from the servers to sync it up instead. Most often this'll happen if you have an unstable internet connection at the time of prestige, or you are experiencing save file corruption and a clear app data/relogin would help resolve that.
There sadly isn't much we can do about this as your data never actually reached our servers, and thus we aren't able to restore data that we don't know exists. However, I can pass this along to our server team to check if there's anything we can do on our end to improve stability.
As for things like the stats panel, they are saved client-side. As a result, those values will be reset when you pull your save file from the server again.
