Regardless of what element is next, just try to get the most Epics and Legends you can get of an element so you can have a higher chance of having the monsters for recipes of the monsters you want

take out the rare Epic Legendaries and why not the uncomuns ones, in this type of event any monster is worth for the combination, less renegades and war masters and I think that the elites do not work for the combinations either
Also do the gem dungeons and spin the roulette of the videos a lot, more or less with about 160 gems and a little luck you can get 6 or 7 Legendary

Just 1 week of rest between the Nature and Thunder Colossal AND the same week having a lot of breeding events coupled together.
The Thunder Colossal was sandwiched between the Phase 2 Morgz Breeding Event and the Race Breeding, that coupled with the 1 week rest between both Colossals made people angry, because they couldn't recover from the gem loss on speeding up hatches in the Nature Colossal and they were forced to pass on 1 of the two if not the two events altogether just so they could have a shot at the Thunder Colossal and even so.
That made people so desperate that they went to buy gem packs, which would be mostly what SP was hoping for.
Putting so many events at the same time, also before the Golden Pass to force people into buying gem packs and roll in fat stacks of our money.

So I'd say hatch it to use if, if you want to use it. Otherwise, you'll just be firing blindly at rumours and assumptions at a new Earth Colossal.
Growler is one of the few useful epics too. I think he had mega possession skills.

Yes all thunder/nature. Thundenix+tarzape has 35% chance epic, but shorter sidebreeds makes it one of the best options. Electrex can be kept for uc thunder hatching, dragonian beast quickest for ranking.
There are combinations with higher chance, but sidebreeds much longer. Currently testing a combination which statistically is 85%, but 14hr hatch for the non-epic 15%.
