And no cosmics won't make it more complex since they'll have higher stats, the cosmic mythics so far don't have moves or traits that set them apart from regular mythics.

Either that or we're getting a repeat of legends vs mythics where they'll use stats to overpower them. If they wanted to set them apart by giving them better moves I don't think the first 3 monsters would have gotten mediocre moves

Colosal is "free" breeding of L's of a certain element.
Last three Colosal has been non-events for me: to many events at the same time, to frustrating event (sometimes I could get 10-15 2hrs breedings instead of the monster I wanted), Marathon Race coming up etc. All this has nothing to do with Take Two - ML has gone down-hill (in terms of positive user-experience) since the Lab was introduced.
But players are incredible and so far made me stay in this game.
