This is what I run on mine, start with cutting feathers since it has a 1 turn CD, then use twilight wings to reset that cooldown and use cutting feathers again. After that you can finish with one of the dark moves so you'll have done 4 attacks.

Well if you don't have the combos you should breed them for the ones that are really worth it, but try working on your collection so hatching the monsters you have sitting in your inventory/lab and getting them from the 72 hours to increase your chances of having the right monsters is a good idea. Only do it for the elements that haven't had a colossal yet. But either way it'll cost you gems

Knightgale is pretty good imo but a lot of people don't like her because of her low HP and low damage moves. She's good on offense but we already have a mythic extra turn attacker in the marathon so Knightgale isn't that important

At the very least, try to get all of the Breedable Light Legendaries (Kassia, Hasai, and Arch Knight). The latter's often used in Breeding Events, so that may help you pick another one up at some point.
