@little berry you need just better relics than opposition and life and strength runes instead of some speed one's help too. That means you return skill with more damage and can take more damage too. Another thing that helps is having monsters with casting shields, heals or remove debuffs

I was using r0 wildbird and had r0 hornet but dumped all my thunder cells and used a few gems to speed rank her to r2... made a huge difference

To activate the charging banner faster and given the choice of monsters in the war, I wanted my Santa to move before nisael or hornet came with their second move (usually the % moves by then reach 100% given either hornet or nisael on the other side has to waste their first move to clear themselves 80% of the time)
again, this is purely based on what I observed while I tested in the prep day, speed improved the base noticeably @little berry
But usually 1 ts is the way to go with 2 life
Santa also did 50% heal move first so need 2 more moves to off him from there
